Advantages of fluorescent lamps

Compared to HID lamps, fluorescent lamps are known for their low heat emission. They are affordable, easy to find and replace.

Disadvantages of fluorescent lamps

In terms of lifespan however, they are greatly outperformed by LED lamps and do not provide the same savings. Many cultivators are turning towards LED lighting for added assurance.

Operation of the fluorescent lamp

The fluorescent lamp uses mercury vapor, neon, xenon, argon or krypton pressurized in a tube. To avoid harming the environment, it must be stored in a safe place.
