Thus, regardless of your setup, the ProActiv filter does not significantly alter the overall noise level. For a quieter cultivation, it is therefore better to focus on the choice of the associated extractor.

Question 16

How does the ProActiv 125mm filter manage the ideal pressure drop to maintain a constant flow of 250 m³/h in a circuit with moderate to high extraction?

Accepted Answer

The ProActiv Ø125 mm - 250 m³/h filter from Garden HighPro is designed to provide efficient filtration with high-quality activated carbon, ensuring low resistance to air. However, this specific model does not have any particular internal mechanisms to automatically compensate for pressure loss. To maintain a constant flow rate of 250 m³/h in a moderate to high extraction circuit, it is essential to pair this filter with an appropriate extractor, ideally calibrated for this flow rate. A careful installation, with properly sized ducts and no obstructions, will help limit excessive pressure loss. Also, be careful not to exceed the recommended flow rate to preserve the filter's performance and lifespan. Finally, regular maintenance to check the state of the activated carbon is crucial: a saturated filter increases pressure loss and decreases flow rate. Thus, the constancy of the flow is more about a good balance between the filter, the extractor, and the entire system than about autonomous management by the filter itself.
