Question 1

Is the ProActiv charcoal filter Ø150mm compatible with air extractors with a flow rate lower or higher than 690 m³/h to optimize odor filtration in a double session indoor cultivation?

Accepted Answer

The charcoal filter ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h is designed to operate optimally with extractors that have a flow rate close to or lower than 690 m³/h. Using an extractor with a higher flow rate risks reducing the efficiency of the filtration and overloading the filter. For a double session cultivation, it is important to adjust the airflow to ensure good odor filtration. If your extractor exceeds this capacity, it is better to reduce its flow rate or opt for a charcoal filter with a higher capacity for effective purification.

Question 2

What is the electrical consumption and the actual odor reduction performance of this 690 m³/h charcoal filter with a 150mm flange?

Accepted Answer

The ProActiv charcoal filter Ø150mm - 690 m³/h Garden HighPro itself does not consume electricity. The consumption depends solely on the fan you pair with it, which must have an airflow rate of at least 690 m³/h for optimal filtration. Regarding odor reduction, this filter is known for its remarkable effectiveness. Thanks to its 100% coconut-based activated carbon and careful design, it quickly and permanently eliminates odors in an indoor growing space of about 2 to 3 m², as confirmed by many satisfied users.

Question 3

Which fans are compatible with this ProActiv Ø150mm charcoal filter to achieve optimal filtration without exceeding the capacity of 690 m³/h?

Accepted Answer

For optimal filtration with the ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h charcoal filter from Garden HighPro, it is important to choose a fan with an airflow not exceeding 690 m³/h. Therefore, a fan with a slightly lower or equal airflow will ensure good efficiency without risking exceeding the maximum capacity of the filter. For example, an extractor with an airflow of about 600 to 690 m³/h would be ideal. It is advisable to carefully check the technical specifications of the fan before purchasing, to ensure this compatibility. This helps to optimize the lifespan of the filter and the quality of the filtration.

Question 4

What is the average lifespan of the ProActiv Ø150mm charcoal filter before it needs to be replaced to maintain good odor filtration without performance loss?

Accepted Answer

The average lifespan of a charcoal filter like the ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h mainly depends on the intensity of use, airflow rate, and the concentration of odors to be filtered. Generally, similar filters achieve optimal efficiency for about 12 to 18 months. After this period, it is recommended to replace it to ensure effective filtration without performance loss. Therefore, watch for persistent odors, a sign that the activated carbon is saturated. Consider regular replacements to maintain a healthy and perfectly neutral indoor environment.

Question 5

What is the typical pressure drop level (in Pa) at 690 m³/h on the ProActiv Ø150mm carbon filter?

Accepted Answer

The ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h carbon filter from Garden HighPro integrates a multilayer activated carbon fleece that allows for a reduction in pressure loss of up to 75% less than a standard filter of the same diameter. However, no precise value in Pascals (Pa) is officially provided for this flow rate of 690 m³/h.It is simply known that the pressure loss remains very low and optimized to ensure excellent energy efficiency, making it a high-performance and effective choice for indoor horticultural ventilation.

Question 6

What are the criteria for choosing this ProActiv Ø150mm 690 m³/h model based on the size and air flow of my ventilation?

Accepted Answer

To choose the ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h filter that fits your ventilation system, first ensure that the duct diameter is indeed 150 mm to ensure a perfect connection. Next, the air flow of your extractor should be close to or slightly below 690 m³/h. This ensures effective filtration without overloading the filter or the fan. Finally, consider the size or volume of your cultivation space: this model is generally suitable for modest rooms, where an air exchange of around 690 m³/h is sufficient. For larger volumes or ducts with significant losses, prefer a filter with a higher capacity. Choosing a filter well adapted to the flow and diameter of your ventilation optimizes the lifespan of your equipment while ensuring excellent odor absorption thanks to its quality activated carbon.

Question 7

What is the maximum noise level of the ProActiv Ø150mm carbon filter during full capacity use (690 m3/h) and is it compatible with a standard extraction system in indoor cultivation?

Accepted Answer

The ProActiv Ø150mm carbon filter with a flow rate of 690 m³/h has an estimated noise level between 30 and 50 dB at full capacity, which corresponds to relatively quiet operation for this type of equipment. It is perfectly compatible with a standard extraction system for indoor cultivation using a 150 mm duct, provided that a fan with a flow rate equal to or less than 690 m³/h is used. This ensures effective filtration while keeping noise levels manageable and optimizing odor control.

Question 8

What is the average effective usage duration of the ProActiv charcoal filter before replacement to maintain optimal filtration without losing airflow?

Accepted Answer

The average effective usage duration of the ProActiv charcoal filter Ø150 mm - 690 m³/h is typically between 12 and 18 months to maintain optimal filtration without loss of airflow. This longevity depends on normal conditions: a relative humidity of less than 65% is ideal, as high humidity or a dusty environment can reduce performance more quickly, sometimes requiring replacement as soon as 9 months. The high-density activated carbon used ensures excellent adsorption capacity while maintaining good airflow. For intensive use, it is advisable to have a spare filter on hand to ensure consistent filtration.

Question 9

Electric consumption and actual noise level at 690 m³/h of the ProActiv 150mm charcoal filter?

Accepted Answer

The charcoal filter ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h Garden HighPro is a passive component that does not consume electricity itself. The consumption depends solely on the fan or extractor fan it is associated with. Regarding the noise level at 690 m³/h, there is no precise value for this particular filter. The perceived noise largely depends on the fan used. The filter does not emit significant noise, and can even slightly attenuate certain frequencies depending on its installation. In summary: the actual electrical consumption and noise level are entirely linked to the fan coupled with the filter, and not to the ProActiv charcoal filter itself.

Question 10

Is integration possible with a home automation system to control the filtration speed and perform real-time monitoring of airflow and carbon filter saturation?

Accepted Answer

The ProActiv Ø150mm - 690 m³/h - Garden HighPro is an activated carbon filter designed for odor filtration, but it does not have built-in home automation features. It does not include sensors or electronic control to regulate the speed or monitor in real-time the airflow or filter saturation. To control the filtration speed or track saturation in real-time, an extractor or fan with home automation compatible regulation will need to be used, as well as external sensors (differential pressure, air quality) connected to a home automation platform. The filter acts only as a passive component in this setup. In summary, this product does not offer integrated control or monitoring, but it can be integrated into a home automation system through appropriate additional equipment.
