The ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 achieves its maximum photon yield of 2.9 µmol/J when used with additional CO2 input over an area of 1.5 × 1.5 m and optimized suspension height, maximizing light efficiency and photosynthesis.Without additional CO2 and covering a broader area of 1.8 × 1.8 m with a higher suspension, the yield in µmol/J decreases significantly. The light is then less concentrated, and plants cannot fully exploit the high light intensity, which reduces the overall system efficiency.

Question 4

For a cultivation area of 1m², is the power of 1000W oversized or recommended with this ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 system?

Accepted Answer

For a cultivation area of 1m², the 1000W power of the ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 is indeed a bit oversized if used at full power. This system is designed for about 1.5 × 1.5 m, with a CO2 supply to maximize growth.Fortunately, thanks to its compatibility with the Lumatek Digital Panel, you can adjust the power to 25%, 50%, or 75%, which allows you to precisely tailor the light intensity to your reduced space and avoid any excessive stress for your plants. This flexibility optimizes both growth and energy consumption. In summary, use this system at a reduced power on 1m² to benefit from its performance without overloading your crop.

Question 5

What is the actual electrical consumption in dimmable mode at 50 percent without CO2 for a cultivation area of 1.5 x 1.5m?

Accepted Answer

For the ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2, the actual electrical consumption in dimmable mode at 50% for a cultivation area of 1.5 x 1.5 m is approximately 512.5 watts. This estimate is based on a rated power of 1025 W, and a linear reduction depending on the dimmer setting. In the absence of a CO₂ effect, this setting remains optimal for this area, providing a good balance between efficiency and consumption.

Question 6

What is the difference in PPFD efficiency and coverage between using CO2 and without CO2 with the ZEUS PRO 1000W on 1.5m x 1.5m?

Accepted Answer

The ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme PPFD CO2 delivers a very high light intensity, optimized for cultivation with enhanced CO2 supply over an area of 1.5×1.5 m. With CO2 (up to 1500 ppm), the PPFD generally exceeds 1000 µmol/m²/s, maximizing photosynthesis and yield in this area. Without supplementary CO2, the bars need to be spaced further apart to widen the coverage to about 1.8×1.8 m. This configuration produces a lower PPFD, resulting in reduced light intensity per square meter, thus decreasing photosynthetic efficiency and yields over the initial area of 1.5×1.5 m. In summary, with CO2, the intense light is fully utilized over 1.5×1.5 m to optimize growth, while without CO2, a wider coverage is prioritized at the expense of reduced yield per area.

Question 7

How do you integrate automatic light intensity management with the Lumatek Digital Panel system to optimize growth in the 1.5x1.5m area?

Accepted Answer

To integrate the automatic light intensity management of the ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme with the Lumatek Digital Panel over a 1.5x1.5m area, set up the Digital Panel Plus 2.0 to precisely adjust the light according to the growth cycle. The automatic dimming in 1% increments allows you to adapt the intensity to the specific needs of your plants, while using the sunrise and sunset modes for natural simulation and optimal growth. Position the system to ensure uniform coverage, reducing intensity if necessary for the smaller area compared to the maximum capacity of the 2x1.5m panel. This fine management, combined with good ventilation and possibly CO2 supplementation, will promote efficient photosynthesis and harmonious development of your crops.

Question 8
