2. History of GrowLED
A passion that lights up your crops
My name is Joseph KEMP, and I am the founder of GrowLED. My adventure began many years ago when I was the victim of a fire caused by an HPS lamp in my home. This incident pushed me to look for safer solutions for indoor cultivation, which led me to LED horticultural lights. In 2009, at the age of 19, I founded GrowLED.
The birth of a company driven by passion and innovation
My first initiatives included making online videos, especially about Hydrotown, a hydroponic vegetable garden that I designed entirely. These videos helped many indoor gardening enthusiasts avoid the problems of traditional lighting and optimize their crops with LEDs. This online community, known as Fleursdubien, was a real springboard for GrowLED.
A dedicated team listening to growers
With GrowLED, I brought together a team of enthusiasts dedicated to the satisfaction of our customers. We are proud to be an independent company, unaffiliated with any franchise, and we are committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
