My name is Joseph KEMP, and I am the founder of GrowLED. My adventure began many years ago when I was the victim of a fire caused by an HPS lamp in my home. This incident pushed me to look for safer solutions for indoor cultivation, which led me to LED horticultural lights. In 2009, at the age of 19, I founded GrowLED.

My first initiatives included making online videos, especially about Hydrotown, a hydroponic vegetable garden that I designed entirely. These videos helped many indoor gardening enthusiasts avoid the problems of traditional lighting and optimize their crops with LEDs.
