Question 1

Can we use the liquid fertilizer MR1 on other types of plants besides cherries, like lemon trees for example?

Accepted Answer

Metrop's MR1 liquid fertilizer is indeed a highly universal product with many beneficial properties for the development of different types of plants. Its high phosphorus content and its richness in various types of nitrogen and magnesium make it a reliable ally for the plant growth phase. It is therefore quite possible to use it for lemon trees thanks to its positive action on the root system, which is crucial in fruit trees. As recommended, it is necessary to respect the provided dosage, 4 to 7.5 ml for 10 liters of watering water for optimal effectiveness. However, I advise you to adjust the dosage to the health and size of your lemon tree, while always ensuring the well-being of the plant. Happy growing to you!

Question 2

What is the exact amount of MR1 fertilizer I should use per liter of water for a coco fiber crop during the first three weeks of growth?

Accepted Answer

For a coco fiber crop during the first three weeks of growth, it is recommended to use between 0.1 and 0.5 ml of MR1 Growth Fertilizer - METROP per liter of water. Start with the lowest dose (0.1 ml/L) and gradually increase according to your plants' response. This method helps avoid the risk of over-fertilization and ensures healthy growth.

Question 3

Does the MR1 fertilizer cause a salt accumulation in coco cultivation and how to adjust the doses to avoid osmotic stress?

Accepted Answer

The MR1 fertilizer from Metrop can indeed lead to a salt accumulation in substrate coco cultivation if the doses are too high or if the substrate is not rinsed sufficiently. Coco, being inert, does not retain salts, which requires careful management of fertilization. To avoid osmotic stress, it is essential to regularly measure the electrical conductivity (EC) of the substrate and carry out flushes with pure water when necessary. On sterilized coco, frequent feeding with a diluted solution is preferred. On buffered coco, watering should be done when the substrate dries, with EC control and rinsing if needed.Adjustment is also done by reducing the MR1 dose at the first sign of stress (curled leaves, leaf edge burn) and ensuring drainage of at least 20% during irrigations to eliminate excess salts. This approach helps to optimize the vigor of growing plants while controlling the risk of nutritional excess related to the use of MR1 on coco.

Question 4

What exact concentration of MR1 do you recommend for a coconut fiber culture to avoid deficiencies without risking over-fertilization during the pre-flowering phase?

Accepted Answer

For a coconut fiber culture during the pre-flowering phase with Wachstumsdünger MR1 – METROP, we recommend an initial dosage of 0.4 to 0.5 ml per liter of water. This dosage provides sufficient nutrients to avoid deficiencies while limiting the risk of over-fertilization. If the coconut fiber is sterilized (not pre-fertilized), treat it like a hydroponic substrate by providing the nutrient solution at each watering, potentially several times a day depending on the system. In the case of buffered coconut fiber (pre-fertilized), adjust the dosage based on the plant's reaction and closely monitor for any signs of over-fertilization, such as leaf burn. To secure your cultivation, always start with 0.4 ml/L and gradually increase to 0.75 ml/L if necessary, using an EC/pH tester to monitor the actual concentration of the nutrient solution.

Question 5

What is the precise electrical consumption of a hydroponic environment using MR1 fertilizer for maximum yield and minimal energy?

Accepted Answer

The electrical consumption of a hydroponic system using MR1 - METROP fertilizer primarily depends on the installed equipment: LED lighting, pumps, ventilation, and air conditioning. The fertilizer itself, as a nutrient, does not have a direct electrical consumption. However, well-balanced nutrition with MR1 (between 0.1 and 0.5 ml/l) and rigorous control of electrical conductivity can help avoid stress and excess, promoting fast and healthy growth. This reduces lighting duration and pump demand, thus decreasing overall energy consumption. To optimize yield and energy, it is essential to precisely adjust the dosage and ensure good drainage on inert substrates, improving root health and photosynthetic efficiency. In summary: MR1 does not directly influence electrical consumption but contributes to energy efficiency through optimized growth, thereby limiting the duration and intensity of continuously operating equipment.

Question 6

Is MR1 really effective for coconut fiber crops with LED? Does a progressive dose impact vigor under artificial light?

Accepted Answer

MR1 Growth Fertilizer - METROP is well-suited for coconut fiber crops under LED lighting. Its formulation, rich in macro and micro-elements, particularly phosphorus and magnesium, stimulates strong root development and optimizes photosynthesis, which is essential under artificial light. Regarding the progressive dose, it is important to start with a low concentration (0.1 ml/L) and then gradually increase. This approach prevents over-fertilization and the accumulation of salts that can induce osmotic stress and reduce plant vigor. In coconut fiber, an inert substrate, it is advisable to monitor electrical conductivity and rinse regularly to maintain a healthy root environment. In summary, MR1 applied progressively ensures vigorous and balanced growth under LEDs on coconut fiber, avoiding the risks associated with excess fertilizer.

Question 7

Exact consumption in ml per week for 1m2 during growth and pre-flowering with liquid fertilizer MR1 maximum possible yield what impact on growth in hydroponics compared to soil yield per liter of fertilizer MR1 versus overall consumption with rising electricity prices

Accepted Answer

For 1 m² in growth with the MR1 growth fertilizer - METROP, the recommended consumption is about 0.8 to 2.5 ml per week, following a watering of 2 to 5 liters of water. In pre-flowering, it increases to about 0.5 ml/L of water, which is a slight increase to support development. In hydroponics, MR1 is very effective thanks to its complete solubility, ensuring optimal nutrient absorption without salt accumulation, which promotes faster growth and often a higher yield compared to soil cultivation. Its high NPK ratio (10-40-20) particularly stimulates flowering and productivity, maximizing potential yield on the cultivated area, provided that the environment and lighting are well managed. Regarding costs, hydroponics with MR1 can reduce fertilizer and water consumption, but electrical charges are often higher due to pumps and auxiliary systems. MR1, concentrated and efficient, allows for limiting the amounts used despite rising prices, providing a good consumption/efficiency ratio.

Question 8

What is the best method to adjust the MR1 fertilizer dose when growing multiple varieties in the same area with different nutritional needs?

Accepted Answer

To adjust the MR1 fertilizer dose when simultaneously growing multiple varieties with different needs, it is advisable to start with a low dose of about 0.1 ml/liter of water and carefully observe the plants' reaction. Each variety may require a specific adjustment, especially if some require more phosphorus or potassium at different growth stages. It is useful to combine MR1 with a complementary fertilizer suitable for flowering, such as MR2, to balance overall nutritional needs. The key lies in regular monitoring: leaf condition, vigor, growth, in order to gradually adjust the concentration or frequency of application. This flexible approach ensures optimal supply without overloading the less demanding plants.

Question 9

What is the best strategy for adjusting the dose of fertilizer MR1 when cultivating several varieties with different growth rates in the same space?

Accepted Answer

To adjust the growth fertilizer MR1 - METROP when several varieties coexist with different growth rates, the key is to adopt a gradual and personalized approach. Start with a low dosage (between 0.1 and 0.5 ml/L), then increase based on the development of each plant. Carefully observe the vigor of each variety: those that grow faster may receive a slightly higher dose, while the slower ones will benefit from a reduced dosage. If possible, organize the cultivation into zones or use separate irrigation systems for better control of nutrient supply. Avoid any overdosing, always respect the recommended maximum concentrations, and adjust the frequency of application according to the actual needs of the plants. This method ensures a balanced and healthy environment for all varieties, despite their varying rates.

Question 10

How do you integrate the MR1 fertilizer into a nutrient automation system to adjust the dose according to the growth phases without manual intervention?

Accepted Answer

To integrate the MR1 growth fertilizer - METROP into a nutrient automation system, first, you need to program the dosage according to the growth phases, adjusting the concentration injected during the vegetative period and then reducing it during other stages. Thanks to its high concentration (0.1 to 0.5 ml/l), MR1 can be precisely dosed via peristaltic or dosing pumps, ensuring homogeneous distribution without the risk of clogging, as it is completely soluble and stable. The use of EC and pH sensors allows for real-time adjustment automation, maintaining the nutrient solution within the ideal range (pH 5.4-6.2). Automatic pH control with correctors (pH Plus or pH Min) complements the system to ensure optimal plant health. This method eliminates the need for manual intervention while ensuring perfectly tailored nutrition at each growth stage, thus optimizing root and vegetative development with a reliable and easy-to-integrate fertilizer.

Question 11

What is the precise dosage recommended for this fertilizer during the transition between pre-flowering and flowering to avoid any deficiency or overdose?

Accepted Answer

For the MR1 growth fertilizer - METROP during the transition between pre-flowering and flowering, it is recommended to start at a mild concentration of 0.1 ml per liter of water, then gradually increase to 0.5 ml/L. This dosage helps prevent stress related to excess salts and ensures a good nutritional balance. The fertilizer can be applied with each watering or every 2 to 3 irrigations depending on the richness of the substrate: more frequent use in coco or hydroponics, spaced out in rich soil. It is important to monitor the electrical conductivity of the substrate and to rinse if necessary to prevent salt accumulation. This protocol supports vigorous plant development without the risk of deficiency or overdose during the first 2 to 3 weeks of flowering.

Question 12

Liquid fertilizer MR1: Can its formulation rich in plant extracts influence pH management in hydroponic cultivation under LED?

Accepted Answer

The MR1 Growth liquid fertilizer from METROP, rich in soluble plant extracts, includes natural buffering agents derived from algae that can help stabilize the pH in the hydroponic solution under LED. Its pure and well-soluble formulation limits deposits and thus reduces sudden pH fluctuations. However, due to its high nutrient concentration, regular monitoring of pH and conductivity is essential to precisely adjust the solution and ensure optimal plant growth.

Question 13

How to precisely adjust the dose of fertilizer MR1 between growth and pre-flowering to avoid any risk of over-fertilization?

Accepted Answer

To precisely adjust the dose of the fertilizer Metrop MR1 between growth and pre-flowering and avoid any risk of over-fertilization, start with a low dose of 0.1 to 0.5 ml per liter of water from the beginning of growth. Gradually increase this dose from the 2nd day, closely observing the vigor and health of the plants: some will need a little more, others less. At the end of pre-flowering (3rd-4th week), it is preferable to reduce this dose to avoid stressing the plants. Also, remember to maintain a low EC value because MR1 is highly concentrated, which protects against burns. Finally, adjust the watering frequency according to your substrate: 1 to 3 times a week on rich substrate, daily at a low dose in hydroponics or poor substrate. This gradual and attentive approach is key to balanced and excess-free nutrition.

Question 14
