Présentation du produit

Restore your water's calcium and magnesium foundation with ATA CalMag

Very soft water is not neutral water — it is incomplete water. Reverse osmosis, rainfall and low-hardness mains supplies deliver water almost stripped of calcium and magnesium, two elements plants consume in bulk and that no base nutrient supplies in full. Atami's ATA CalMag restores that foundation before feeding even begins.

Composition: Calcium + magnesium
Dosage: 0.6 to 1 ml/L
Sizes: 250 ml, 1 L, 5 L, 10 L
Compatibility: Soil, coco, hydroponics

Why over-pure water holds your plants back

Below 0.3 mS/cm EC, your source water no longer contributes anything: it dilutes instead of feeding. The problem arises with reverse osmosis, rainwater, softened water or a naturally poor supply.

  • Strong cell walls — calcium builds the plant's structure and gives stems their rigidity.
  • Photosynthesis secured — magnesium sits at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule: without it, no photosynthesis.
  • Coco growing protected — the substrate locks up part of the available calcium; CalMag offsets it.
  • High-output LED — plants transpire harder and draw on both elements faster.

Reading a deficiency: two symptoms, two levels

The two deficiencies show up in different places, which is what lets you tell them apart at a glance. Calcium shortage hits the top: young leaves distort and brown at the margins. Magnesium shortage hits the bottom: older leaves yellow between the veins while the veins stay green. One product corrects both, provided it goes in at the right point of the mix.

One corrective for two deficiencies — and one simple habit: CalMag first, into clean water.

An additive that fits every growing method

ATA CalMag suits soil, coco and hydroponics, by hand watering or automated system, throughout the cycle. It pairs without difficulty with Atami's B'Cuzz and ATA NRG ranges, or with any base nutrient.

How to use ATA CalMag

Use this corrective throughout the cycle, in growth and in bloom, whenever your water quality calls for it.

  • Dosage — 0.6 to 1 ml per litre of water, adjusted to your source water's hardness.
  • Mixing order — CalMag first into clean water, before base nutrients, and adjust pH only at the end.
  • Effect on EC — expect a rise of 0.2 to 0.4 mS/cm depending on the rate.
  • Temperature — work at around 21 °C: cold water slows uptake.

Your plants regain firm stems and evenly green foliage, without the distortion and yellowing that betray water too poor to feed them.

Joseph's tip: "Never pour CalMag straight into the measuring cap with a concentrated nutrient: calcium precipitates on contact with phosphate and you lose both products at once. Clean water first, then CalMag, then the feed. And on hard mains water, above 0.5 mS/cm, start at half rate."
Joseph
