Help & advice

To choose your Cosmorrow lighting, I advise you to first define your precise needs. Are you looking for light for growth, flowering, or a more specific spectrum like UV or IR? Then, evaluate the size of your growing space. Cosmorrow 40W bars are perfect for larger areas, while 20W ones are suitable for small spaces or as a supplement. Don't forget the power supply, it is essential for the proper functioning of your bars.
The difference is fundamental and lies in the emitted light spectrum. The Cosmorrow Growing LED bar is specifically designed for the vegetative growth phase of your plants, promoting robust foliage development. In contrast, the Cosmorrow Ultraviolet LED bar emits a UV spectrum which, used sparingly, can stimulate the production of resins and essential oils, thereby improving the quality and potency of your harvests.
The Cosmorrow Infrared LED bar is an excellent complement to your main lighting. Infrared, although invisible to the human eye, plays a crucial role in stem elongation and flowering. I recommend it to optimize photosynthesis and promote faster and more abundant flowering, especially at the end of the cycle. It also helps light penetrate deep into the canopy.
The wattage to choose depends directly on the surface area of your growing space. For small spaces or as supplementary lighting, a 20W Cosmorrow LED bar may be sufficient. For larger areas or for primary lighting, I would direct you towards the 40W bars. Remember that you can combine several bars to precisely adapt the power to your needs and the evolution of your plants.
Installing Cosmorrow lighting is very simple, which is one of its great advantages. Each Cosmorrow LED bar connects to a specific power supply, which in turn plugs into the mains. The bars are designed to be modular, so you can easily attach them inside your grow tent using the provided hooks or supports. I always advise checking that the connections are secure and that the cables do not hinder plant growth.
The ideal distance depends on the wattage of your Cosmorrow bars and the development stage of your plants. Generally, for young seedlings, I recommend a distance of about 20 to 30 cm to avoid light stress. For plants in full growth or flowering, you can bring the bars closer to 10-20 cm, especially if you are using 40W Cosmorrow. Observing your plants is your best indicator: if the leaves yellow or curl, the light is too intense or too close.
Cosmorrow lights are very versatile! Secret Jardin has designed specific bars for each phase. You will find Cosmorrow Growing bars optimized for vegetative growth, promoting dense and robust development. For flowering, there are specific spectra that encourage the production of flowers and fruits. You can even combine different spectra, such as infrared (Cosmorrow Infrared) or ultraviolet, to further refine the results according to your objectives.
A common mistake is to underestimate the power of LEDs and place them too close to plants, which can cause light stress. I also often see growers neglecting ventilation, which is crucial even with LEDs that heat up less than other technologies. Finally, not adapting the light spectrum to the plant's stage is a mistake to avoid: always use a Growing bar for growth and a flowering spectrum for flowering.
To determine if a Cosmorrow 40W or a 20W is suitable, you need to consider the surface area of your grow. Generally, a 20W bar is perfect for small areas, such as a cloning space or to supplement main lighting over a small area. 40W bars are more suitable for covering larger areas (for example, 60x60cm to 80x80cm per bar, depending on the desired density) or for use in numbers for powerful main lighting. I always advise prioritizing a slight overpower that you can adjust in height rather than a lack of light.
