For the Cosmorrow 20W Flowering LED Bar - 50cm, it is necessary to use a 24V power supply capable of providing approximately 20W (around 0.8A). The manufacturer requires the use of its official Cosmorrow transformer to ensure compatibility, safety, and validity of the warranty.
Technically, a third-party power supply of the same capacity (24V/20W) could work, but this may compromise safety and void the warranty. For optimal and compliant operation, we strongly recommend using the Cosmorrow power supply designed specifically for this LED bar.
This configuration allows for the proper powering of the 4 bars totaling 80W, while respecting Cosmorrow's modular 24V technology. The installation is done in parallel with each pair connected to its own dedicated power supply, guaranteeing homogeneous and efficient light coverage.
The Cosmorrow Flowering 20W LED bar - 50cm has an average lifespan of around 50,000 hours. This remarkable longevity means it requires very few replacements, significantly reducing the costs and constraints related to long-term maintenance.
With a moderate consumption of 20 watts at a voltage of 24 volts, it offers energy-efficient usage compared to more power-hungry technologies like incandescent or halogen lamps. This combination of energy efficiency and durability ensures a stable and economical light for your plants' flowering.
It has a lifespan ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 hours depending on the model, ensuring comfortable longevity even under intensive use. However, it is crucial to power it with a suitable Cosmorrow power supply to guarantee its proper functioning and avoid any risks.
In summary, provided that it is installed correctly and the intended power supply is used, this LED bar perfectly supports continuous use, ideal for a demanding flowering phase.
With a single 20W power supply, the Cosmorrow Flowering LED bar provides a light intensity suitable for a small area of about 100x40 cm, perfect for effective and optimized flowering.
Upgrading to a dual 2x20W power supply doubles the electrical power, significantly increasing the light intensity. This can enhance flowering by covering a larger area or providing more light to each plant, promoting better quality and potentially faster flower development.
However, be cautious of managing the additional heat emitted, as higher light intensity may require an enhanced ventilation system to maintain an ideal environment.
In summary, a dual power supply offers a real gain in power and light output, but it should be adjusted to the needs of the plants and the growing conditions to fully benefit from its advantages.
The Cosmorrow Flowering 20W - 50cm LED bar offers a PPF of approximately 54 μmol/s with an energy efficiency (PPE) of 2.85 µmol/J, which indicates good luminous efficiency. The exact PPFD curve at 20 cm is not provided, but this distance is recommended for a good balance between light intensity and plant comfort.
Regarding efficiency in grams per watt, no precise data is available, as this also depends on the type of cultivation and overall conditions. However, with high PPE, this bar is effective in supporting healthy growth under horticultural LED lighting.
To operate two Cosmorrow 20W flower LED bars in parallel without risk of overload or loss of efficiency, you should use a Cosmorrow dual power supply 2x20W. Each bar must be connected to a separate output of the power supply, ensuring that they each receive 20W according to their rated power.
Also, make sure the power supply is compatible with 24V, the necessary voltage for these bars, to ensure a stable and efficient power supply. This modular configuration preserves light efficiency and the safety of your installation.
The Cosmorrow Floraison 20W LED bar - 50cm is designed for excellent durability over multiple seasons. With around 50,000 hours of life, it offers remarkable longevity and maintains its performance without significant degradation. Its IP65 certification ensures strong resistance to moisture, a key factor for preserving quality in an indoor growing environment.
The power supply, connected in parallel, ensures optimal protection against electrical fluctuations, thus enhancing the stability and longevity of the system. This configuration, combined with its moderate power consumption, also allows for better management of energy costs in the long term, avoiding frequent additional expenses.
In summary, this LED bar, thanks to its robustness and thoughtful design, ensures excellent reliability season after season without requiring regular investment in maintenance or replacement.
At 30 cm distance, the PPFD is estimated to be between 100 and 150 µmol/m²/s, an intensity perfectly suited to stimulate blooming without overloading the plants, while maximizing the photon-to-watt ratio consumed.
This bar therefore combines a good compromise between light performance and consumption, ideal for optimized indoor cultivation.
In summary, opt for an official Cosmorrow 24V/40W power supply for two connected 20W LED bars in parallel, which optimizes performance while preserving your setup.
The Cosmorrow Flowering LED bar 20W - 50cm absolutely requires a dedicated 24V power supply, like the Cosmorrow 2x20W power supply designed to power up to two bars in parallel.
For a micro space of 20x20 cm, the 50 cm bar is a bit large but remains compatible. You can use a single 20W bar powered by a single output from this dedicated power supply. Be careful, a generic power supply will not be suitable and may cause overheating or failure.
In summary, the LED bar is compatible with a correct single power supply for this micro space, provided that the parallel connections are respected and any non-dedicated power supply is avoided.
To optimize a small space with multiple bars, it is necessary to use several 2x20W power supplies, each powering a pair of bars. This way, you ensure stable and secure operation without the risk of overload.
