Frequently asked questions
Your questions
Monkey Fan 24V, mounting on a bar 16-19mm, 1.5W, 1900 RPM. Is it suitable for a micro space of 40x40 at my place to avoid hot spots?
The Kit of two Monkey Fan 24V fans is perfectly designed for mounting on a bar of 16-19 mm, with a low power consumption of 1.5 W per fan and an efficient airflow of 107 m³/h.
For a micro space of 40x40 cm, a single fan is usually sufficient to avoid hot spots and ensure good air circulation without overloading the space. However, if you want a more intense circulation and space allows it, the double kit can provide extra comfort.
The compact design of the Monkey Fans facilitates their installation in small volumes, provided you have the appropriate bars. This silent and powerful fan is therefore an excellent choice to optimize the ventilation of your micro space.
The kit of 2 Monkey Fans has a total power of 3W at 24V, but what is the average current consumed in Amperes at full speed (1900 RPM) to evaluate the efficiency g_per_watt_air_circulation?
The 24V kit of two Monkey Fans consumes on average about 0.08 Amperes at full speed (1900 RPM). Each fan uses about 0.04 A at 24 V, giving a total power of around 3 W for both. This current allows for a precise evaluation of the air circulation efficiency per watt.
What is the best arrangement of the two Monkey Fans in a 120x120 tent to maximize air circulation without creating harmful cold drafts for the plants?
For a 120x120 cm tent, the best arrangement of the two 24V Monkey Fans is to place them on opposite sides, for example one in North-East at mid-height to circulate the air at the foliage level, and the other in South-West lower down to avoid stagnation of hot or humid air near the roots.
Angle them to create a gentle circular airflow without directing the wind directly onto the plants to prevent harmful cold drafts. If your fans have oscillation, turn it on for even dispersion. Set the speed to the lowest effective level to ensure sufficient circulation without stressing the leaves.
Thanks to their adjustable clip on the tent poles, you can easily adjust height and angle to optimize the airflow. Feel free to test and adapt the configuration based on your plants' response.
Kit Monkey Fan 24V, sufficient for micro box 60x60 with uniform air circulation or should I complement with another type of fan?
The kit of two Monkey Fan 24V fans is perfectly suitable for a 60x60 cm micro box. Their airflow of 107 m³/h each, combined with the possibility of orientation, allows for effective and uniform air mixing in such a small space. Their low power consumption and silence make them an ideal choice to maintain good circulation without nuisance.
However, if you have very dense vegetation or have difficulty regulating temperature, an oscillating fan or an extractor in addition may be considered to optimize air renewal. But in the majority of cases, these two Monkey Fans are more than sufficient to ensure a healthy and homogeneous environment.
