The PURELED Q320 V2 panel can integrate well into an automation system to manage the light cycles of plants, but it requires an external controller. It has manual intensity regulation, but for automated and precise management, a compatible 0-10V controller is required.
This current standard facilitates its integration into smart home or horticultural systems, without the necessity of using a specific PureLED controller. The adoption of a suitable controller allows simulating natural cycles, such as sunrise/sunset, or protecting the equipment in case of overheating.
The PURELED Q320 V2 panel has a built-in manual dimmer for simple and precise adjustment of light intensity. However, this dimmer cannot be controlled directly by an Arduino or any other microcontroller.
To integrate the panel into a complete automation system, it is necessary to use a compatible external 0-10V controller. This 0-10V signal is the standard for automatically controlling light intensity, and with an Arduino, you will need to add a module or circuit capable of generating this type of signal.
In summary:
If you want a complete home automation solution, we offer compatible controllers and appropriate accessories for this type of management.
The PURELED Q320 V2 panel at 320W offers a total output of approximately 864 µmol/s, calculated with its light efficiency of 2.7 µmol/J.
As for the manual dimmer, you can proportionally reduce the power and thus the light output without losing efficiency in µmol/J. For example, at 160W, the output will be approximately 432 µmol/s. However, the dimmer does not allow for an increase in intrinsic efficiency; it only adjusts the light intensity.
For the horticultural panel PURELED Q320 V2 powered at 320 W, the nominal efficiency is 2.7 µmol/J. This means a total emission of approximately 864 µmol/s.
On the recommended area of 100x100 cm, the average PPFD is generally between 700 and 900 µmol/m²/s at the center. When extending to a larger area of 120x120 cm (1.44 m²), there is a notable drop in light flux at the edges, often by 20 to 40 %.
Thus, the average PPFD over 120x120 cm is estimated to be between 450 and 600 µmol/m²/s: 700-900 µmol/m²/s in the center, and 300-500 µmol/m²/s at the edges. This drop influences the effective light yield on the crop.
In terms of actual yield in µmol per watt, we remain at 2.7 µmol/J, but for the 120x120 cm area, the non-homogeneous distribution of flux results in an average around 600 µmol/m²/s if we ideally distribute the flux.
In summary, the PURELED Q320 V2 offers excellent efficiency, with a PPFD compatible for a prosperous crop on 120x120 cm, provided that edge variations are taken into account to optimize plant layout.
The continuous manual dimming integrated in the PURELED Q320 V2 allows for precise adjustment of light intensity and thus contributes to effective heat management, as reduced power generates less heat. This panel is designed to remain very cool and quiet even at full power, thanks to optimized thermal dissipation.
An external controller is therefore not essential to prevent overheating under normal operating conditions. However, it can provide additional functions such as automated temperature management or light cycle simulation, useful in more complex systems.
The horticultural panel PURELED Q320 V2 can indeed be controlled by an external controller, but it is imperative that this controller emits a 0-10V signal, a standard for regulating light intensity in horticulture.
The integrated manual dimmer cannot be directly controlled by standard microcontrollers (like Arduino) without an additional module capable of generating this 0-10V signal. Therefore, a direct connection is only possible if your controller is designed for this purpose or if you use a specific adapter.
For a complete and easy solution, it is recommended to opt for a 0-10V compatible controller, such as the PureLED Smart Controller 2.0, which includes the necessary cables for a simple connection to the panel.
The PURELED Q320 V2 can definitely be used in a space smaller than 120 x 120 cm, provided that the light intensity is well managed to avoid stress on your plants. Thanks to its manual dimmer, you can easily reduce the power, for example to 30-40% during the growth phase, which is ideal for plants placed 50-60 cm high.
For more precise and smooth control, it is advisable to use a 0-10V compatible controller, which allows you to gradually adjust the light, like a sunrise or sunset. This fine management is valuable for optimizing growth and flowering without overloading light.
In summary, with proper use of the dimmer and/or an appropriate controller, the PURELED Q320 V2 adapts perfectly to small areas while preserving the health of your plants.
For the PURELED Q320 V2 panel in a 120 x 120 cm space, the optimal distance depends on the growth stage:
These adjustments ensure effective lighting across the entire area while maintaining plant health. Be sure to adjust based on your crops' response and environmental conditions.
For the PURELED Q320 V2 at maximum power (320 W) and dimmed to 100%, the average PPFD on the ground over a surface of 120x120 cm reaches approximately 600 µmol/m²/s. This configuration optimizes energy efficiency with an excellent about 2.7 µmol/joule ratio, ensuring powerful and effective light.
The distribution of PPFD is generally homogeneous but may slightly decrease at the edges, hence the importance of a good arrangement of plants to maximize photosynthesis. The full spectrum (4000K + 660 nm red) is perfectly suited for all phases of growth and flowering.
The continuous adjustment of the dimmer allows for fine-tuning of light intensity while controlling heating, ensuring stable and efficient operation.
The PURELED Q320 V2 panel is perfectly capable of covering an area of 120x120 cm during growth and flowering phases without the need for other light sources. With its nominal power of 320 W, it provides an average PPFD of about 600 µmol/m²/s over this area, which is more than adequate for demanding plants.
Its full spectrum (4000K + red 660 nm) and uniform lighting ensure excellent plant development. The built-in dimmer allows for precise intensity adjustments as needed, while the passive cooling ensures optimal stability. In short, when well positioned, this panel is a complete and effective solution for an area of 1.44 m² indoors.
The horticultural panel PURELED Q320 V2 does not offer native compatibility with voice assistants such as Alexa or Google Assistant. Its intensity adjustment is done manually via an integrated dimmer, which cannot be directly controlled by home automation systems.
For home automation integration with voice command, it is necessary to use a 0-10V compatible external controller, a standard that allows automatic management of light intensity. This controller receives commands via your home automation system and transmits the appropriate signal to the panel.
In summary, integration is possible but only via an intermediate 0-10V controller capable of interfacing your voice assistant with the PURELED Q320 V2 panel.
To optimize the management of multiple varieties in a 120x120 cm tent with the PURELED Q320 V2 panel, take advantage of its full spectrum suitable for all growth and flowering phases. The built-in dimmer allows you to finely adjust the light intensity according to the specific needs of each variety or stage.
Spatially organize the plants: place those with high light needs under the center of the panel and the more sensitive ones towards the edges, where the light is a bit softer. Also, adjust the height of the panel according to the stage of development to avoid stress or burns.
Finally, ensure good control of the environment (temperature, humidity) to accompany this efficient lighting and provide each plant with optimal conditions without compromising overall yield.
The PURELED Q320 V2 has a built-in manual dimmer, not directly controllable remotely. To manage the light intensity through a connected home automation system, an external controller compatible with the 0-10V protocol is required, a widely used industrial standard for brightness control.
Thus, the panel is compatible with all controllers using the 0-10V signal, allowing integration into home automation systems offering remote management and automation. No native home automation protocol (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi) is directly integrated into the panel.
In summary, to control the dimmer remotely, it is necessary to use a module or controller supporting the 0-10V protocol.
To maximize yield on 120x120 cm with the PURELED Q320 V2 panel, the best dimmer management consists of precisely adjusting the light intensity to the growth phases:
This approach ensures optimal utilization of the full spectrum and the efficiency of the panel, while protecting your crops from excessive light stress.
The PURELED Q320 V2 LED panel manages heat dissipation through an efficient passive cooling system, relying on an aluminum heatsink and low heat-emission LEDs (Samsung LMB281+ PRO and Honglitronics SMD3535). This design significantly limits heating, even during prolonged use in a 120 x 120 cm grow tent.
Moreover, the panel features a dimmer that allows you to adjust the light intensity and thus the heat generated, providing precise control to maintain a stable temperature. The PURELED Q320 V2 is optimized for use up to 35°C ambient, making minimal ventilation advisable to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the system.
In summary, its passive cooling, combined with intensity adjustment, ensures reliable, silent thermal dissipation suitable for a professional indoor environment.
Yes, the PureLED Q320 V2 does allow you to manually adjust the light intensity via its built-in 0-10V dimmer. This gives you the ability to adapt the lighting between the growing phase and flowering in a 120 x 120 cm tent without adding an additional management system.
However, if you want automated management of cycles or power to prevent overheating, you would need a compatible external 0-10V controller, as the Q320 V2 only offers manual dimming.
This manual adjustment capability makes this panel perfectly suitable for simple and effective light control in your growing space.
The PURELED Q320 V2 consumes about 320 W in actual usage on a cultivation area of 120x120 cm. Its light output is 2.7 µmol/J, an excellent ratio in this power range (300-400 W) where many models oscillate between 2.0 and 3.0 µmol/J.
In practice, it delivers an optimized average PPFD around 600 µmol/m²/s, which is very suitable for plant development. This panel is also distinguished by its effective heat dissipation and dimming function, offering relevant control of power and heat, which optimizes growth and flowering.
Compared to other solutions with equivalent power, the PURELED Q320 V2 thus combines low consumption, good light output, and user comfort, a real asset for effective indoor cultivation.
