ThinkGrow DR-1 — Model One LED bar 90 W · 4 ft (1.2 m)

Choose the ThinkGrow DR-1 to build a Model One lighting layout from individual bars. The DR-1 combines full-spectrum and deep-red light over two channels in a nominal 1.2 m format. It is rated at 90 W and uses the TLD-2, as does the FR-1. Deep red and far red nevertheless represent different spectral configurations.

Choose the bar, then its driver

A Model One bar is a modular lighting component, not a complete fixture ready to connect directly to mains power. Start by choosing the length and spectrum you need, then select the matching driver. This bar requires a 90 W TLD-2. Every bar needs its own driver, including when several bars are arranged side by side. A shared control cable does not replace those individual power supplies. Treat each bar and its driver as one building block of the installation.

Build the right distribution

The modular design lets you choose how many bars to use and how far apart to place them. It does not assign a fixed coverage area to each bar. Measure the available space, consider the width of plant rows and plan the mounting points. Two bars with the same wattage but different lengths occupy the structure differently. Compare their dimensions for layout purposes, then check the light received at crop level once the system is in place.

What to add to the bar

The LED bar is supplied on its own. Add the TLD-2 driver, suitable Model One mains wiring and the mounting hardware required for your layout. Independent channel adjustment also requires compatible control equipment and its connection. Before completing your selection, count the bars and check that you have the same number of drivers. Keep mains leads separate from control connections in your parts list: they perform different tasks and cannot substitute for one another.
