To choose the ideal Cannaled horticultural LED light, I advise you to consider several key factors. First, think about the size of your grow space and the type of plants you want to cultivate. Then, evaluate the necessary power and the light spectrum suitable for different growth phases. Our ranges, such as the Rhino Series or the Spider Series, offer solutions for all needs.

The wattage of your Cannaled horticultural LED light will depend directly on the surface area of your grow space and the specific needs of your plants. For a small area, a 100-150W light may suffice, while for larger spaces, I recommend increasing the power. For example, the Rhino Series 260W Pro is excellent for medium to large areas, offering optimal coverage.

The light spectrum is crucial! For vegetative growth, I favor a spectrum richer in blue, which promotes robust leaf development. During the flowering phase, a spectrum with more red and far-red is ideal for stimulating flower and fruit production. Most Cannaled lights, like those in the Spider Series Pro, offer full or adjustable spectra to adapt to all phases.

The major difference lies in energy efficiency and heat management. Cannaled horticultural LEDs consume much less energy for the same light intensity and emit significantly less heat than HPS, which greatly simplifies climate control in your space. Furthermore, LEDs offer a more precise and customizable light spectrum, which is a considerable advantage for plant growth. I explain the advantages of LEDs in more detail in this article.

The installation distance is essential to avoid light stress or, conversely, a lack of light. In general, I recommend starting with a distance of approximately 30 to 60 cm between your Cannaled LED light and the plant canopy, then adjusting based on your plants' reaction. More powerful models, such as those in the Rhino Series, will often require a slightly greater distance.

The duration of lighting depends on the growth phase of your plants. For the vegetative phase, I generally recommend a cycle of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. During flowering, a cycle of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness is more appropriate for most species. It is crucial to respect these cycles for optimal development.
