Frequently asked questions
Your questions
Industrial Fan Typhoon 45CM 3in1 Pure Factory My question concerns the multiple uses of the fan in an indoor setup with several varieties of plants. Is it possible to adjust the speed or orientation (oscillation) of the fan independently according to the specific needs of different zones within the same room to avoid excessive stress on some plants while ensuring optimal ventilation for all?
The Pure Factory Typhoon 45CM 3in1 industrial fan offers a 3-speed setting, but these settings apply to the entire fan, with no possibility to independently control the speed or orientation for different zones within the same room. It does not have an automatic oscillation function, but its 3in1 design (pedestal, floor or wall mount) allows you to manually direct the airflow wherever you want.
To meet the need for zones with different ventilation requirements, the solution would be to use multiple fans, each set to the speed suitable for its zone. This enables optimal ventilation and limits stress on certain plants.
Is the Typhoon 45cm fan sufficient for air circulation in a 60x60x160 micro box?
The Typhoon industrial fan 45cm 3 in 1 is well suited for a micro box of 60x60x160 cm. Its power of 55 W and three adjustable speeds ensure effective air circulation, sufficient to maintain a stable climate in this space of about 0.57 m³.
It does not have automatic oscillation, so care must be taken to position it correctly to cover the entire cultivation area. For optimal optimization, manually directing the airflow or adding a second fan may be considered depending on the plant configuration.
What optimal speed and position configuration (floor, desk, or wall) do you recommend to minimize plant stress under LED while maximizing air circulation in a SCROG or LST grow?
For the Typhoon Industrial Fan - 45CM - 3 in 1 - Pure Factory in SCROG or LST cultivation under LED, here is the recommended configuration to optimize air circulation while limiting plant stress:
- Position: ideally place it 1-2 meters high, either on a stand/table or mounted high on a wall, to avoid direct and overly powerful airflow.
- Speed: favor a low or medium speed to ensure a gentle and constant airflow that does not disturb the LST-trained plants or those under the SCROG screen.
- Oscillating function: activate it for even air distribution throughout the growing area, preventing the appearance of hot spots or stagnation.
This configuration stabilizes the temperature, improves gas exchange, and maintains plant vigor without risking mechanical stress.
Can this Typhoon 45cm fan be used in a growing space of less than 1m² without the risk of too strong airflow for the plants?
The Typhoon Industrial Fan - 45CM - 3 in 1 has a power of 55W with three adjustable speeds, which is ideal for adjusting air circulation according to the size of your space. In a growing space of less than 1m², it is quite possible to use it without the risk of too strong airflow by selecting the lowest speed.
To protect your plants, direct the airflow upwards or place the fan a certain distance from the plants to avoid direct shock. This flexibility will allow you to maintain a healthy environment with good ventilation suitable for delicate crops.
Is the Typhoon 45 cm 55 W fan effective in a small cultivation space of 60x60 cm?
The Typhoon 45 cm 55 W fan is well suited for a cultivation space of 60x60 cm. Its power allows for good air circulation, essential for preventing stagnant humidity and promoting healthy growth. Designed to be installed on a wall, floor, or stand, it offers interesting flexibility depending on your setup.
For a volume around 60x60x160 cm, this fan generally ensures effective ventilation. However, be sure to consider the temperature and humidity of your environment, as these parameters can influence the ventilation needs.
Is the industrial fan Typhoon compatible with home automation systems or voice commands to automate ventilation based on detected temperature or humidity?
The industrial fan Typhoon - 45CM - 3 in 1 from Pure Factory is not natively equipped for a direct connection to home automation systems or voice commands to automate ventilation based on temperature or humidity. Its operation remains manual with three adjustable speeds.
To automate your ventilation, it would be possible to combine this fan with an external timer or a compatible connected module that could manage its operation based on temperature or humidity sensors. GrowLED offers timers that could meet this need.
Does the Typhoon industrial fan offer compatibility with a home automation controller to automate ventilation speeds based on temperature and humidity conditions in an indoor crop?
The Typhoon industrial fan – 45 cm – 3 in 1 offers three adjustable speeds, providing good flexibility to adjust ventilation according to needs. However, it is not designed natively to be controlled via a home automation controller or to automate its speeds based on temperature or humidity. For complete automation, an external controller compatible with this type of fan would need to be paired.
The Typhoon 45cm fan consumes 55W, but what is its airflow in m3/h to assess its effectiveness in circulation and heat limitation in an indoor box?
The industrial fan Typhoon 45 cm consumes 55 W and offers three adjustable speeds as well as an oscillating function for homogeneous air distribution. Although the exact airflow in m³/h is not specified, it is ideal for compact indoor growing spaces, such as a micro box of about 60x60x160 cm, where it ensures effective air circulation to limit stagnant heat.
Its power and ability to oscillate allow for a stable and suitable climate for growth, renewing enough air in a volume of less than 1 m³. For greater circulation needs, fans with a higher airflow may be considered.
Can this 45cm Typhoon fan be used continuously without the risk of overheating or excessive noise for a 3-month indoor growing session?
The Typhoon Industrial Fan - 45CM - 3 in 1 - Pure Factory is perfectly suitable for continuous use during a 3-month indoor growing session. Its 55 W power and robust metal design ensure stable operation without the risk of overheating, provided the device is not obstructed and is regularly maintained.
Thanks to its three adjustable speeds, it is possible to limit the noise by adjusting the power according to the growth phase of your plants. The manually positioned directional airflow also helps to reduce noise while ensuring optimal ventilation.
In summary, this fan offers excellent reliability and a good compromise between performance and acoustic comfort for sustainable indoor growing.
What is the maximum runtime of the speeds on a continuous session and is there a safety system in case of overheating?
The Typhoon industrial fan - 45CM - 3 in 1 operates on wired electrical power, which provides it with an unlimited runtime in continuous operation, as long as it is plugged in.
Regarding safety, this model does not have an integrated overheating protection system. To ensure safe use, it is important not to obstruct the fan and to follow the manufacturer's usage recommendations.
What noise level triggers the Typhoon fan at maximum speed and is it suitable for growing in a small space like a closet of less than 1m³?
The Typhoon industrial fan - 45CM - 3 in 1 from Pure Factory develops 55 W and offers three adjustable speeds. At maximum speed, it generates a moderate noise level: users describe it as "a bit noisy" but bearable, thus a perceptible noise but not annoying to the point of being unbearable.
For growing in a small space like a closet of less than 1 m³, this fan is well suited. It is recommended for volumes close to 0.6 m³, providing effective air circulation thanks to its settings and installation versatility (on a stand, on the floor, or wall-mounted). This versatility allows for precise airflow direction, essential for maintaining a stable climate in a micro space.
In summary, for a small growing space, the Typhoon combines efficiency and adaptability, with moderate noise at full power that should simply be considered based on your sound sensitivity.
Is the Typhoon 45CM industrial fan quiet enough not to disturb the growth of sensitive plants during flowering phase?
The Typhoon 45 cm 3 in 1 industrial fan is designed to provide powerful ventilation while remaining quiet.
