The 5-position dimmer of the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT allows reducing the light power from 20 to 100% without altering the distribution of the light spectrum. Indeed, this panel uses an optimized full spectrum thanks to its 1024 Epistar 3030 LEDs, and the decrease in intensity only affects the total amount of light emitted, not the quality or spectral composition.
For your SCROG cultivation, this means you can precisely adjust the light intensity to meet the specific needs of the plants, limit stress, and avoid stretching, while maintaining optimal lighting for vegetative growth. The spectral stability ensures a healthy vegetative response regardless of the chosen intensity level.
Yes, the 5-position dimmer of the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT LED panel effectively reduces electrical consumption by modulating power in steps (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%) while maintaining an optimal light spectrum for growth.
In a 120x120 cm box, this modulation does not significantly impact the PAR as long as the intensity is adapted to the plant stage. For example, a reduction to 60% is ideal during germination or vegetative growth to save energy while ensuring sufficient light penetration. However, it is recommended to increase the power during bloom to maximize yield.
In summary, this dimmer allows for a perfect balance between energy savings and light performance, offering precise control to support your plants throughout their cycle.
For the AGROLIGHT Quantum BOARD 450W at 100% power over a 120x120 cm space, there is no precise PPFD curve published. However, this panel is specifically designed for this area, ensuring a well-balanced and efficient light distribution.
With its 1024 Epistar 3030 LEDs and full spectrum, it provides optimal lighting. The 5-position dimmer also allows adjusting the intensity according to the growth phase to maximize growth.
For a fine assessment of positioning, we recommend using a light meter or quantum meter to directly measure the PPFD in your setup.
The Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT LED-Panel does not integrate native home automation connectivity, neither Zigbee nor Wi-Fi, and does not offer control via voice assistant or remote monitoring. Its brightness adjustment is done manually using a 5-position dimmer, without an integrated control module.
To control this panel remotely or integrate it into a home automation system, an external compatible device (Wi-Fi or Zigbee relay for example) would need to be used between the power outlet and the panel. This solution, while enriching, requires some DIY and is not covered by the warranty.
If you are looking for LED lighting with integrated smart management, feel free to ask me for advice, I can guide you to suitable options.
The wiring must be sized to support this current without risk of overheating, with well-secured connections. A slight oversizing of the power supply is recommended to ensure efficiency and safety.
Finally, each panel has a 5-position dimmer: if you control multiple panels on the same power supply, be sure to manage each panel's dimmer individually or via a compatible system.
This approach ensures optimal performance and a safe installation while avoiding any loss of efficiency.
The Quantum BOARD 450W LED Panel from AGROLIGHT is ideal for optimal coverage of 120x120 cm, ensuring uniform light across the entire area. In a 60x60 cm micro grow tent, it will work but will deliver very intense light in a small area, which may lead to overheating if the ventilation is not adequate.
For a tent of this size, it is recommended to use the integrated 5-position dimmer to adjust the light intensity and prevent any over-illumination. This way, you can fully enjoy the panel's power without harming your plants.
The Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT is equipped with a 5-position dimmer (20, 40, 60, 80, and 100%) that allows for effective modulation of light intensity without altering the spectrum. For a SCROG under 120x120 cm, this feature provides a good range of adjustment to optimize growth, limit stress, and control plant stretch.
However, precision is limited to these five fixed levels. If you are looking for finer control, you will need to consider other dimmable solutions or adjust other cultivation parameters. For most SCROG crops in this size, this dimmer remains quite suitable and effective.
The Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT is equipped with a dimmer that allows precise adjustment of light intensity according to each growth phase. This fine management optimizes yield by significantly reducing the heat generated by the panel, thus limiting thermal stress on the plants.
Thanks to the quality of the Epistar 3030 LEDs and a full spectrum (3000K, 6500K, Deep Red 660nm, IR 730nm), the PAR flow remains stable and perfectly suited to photosynthetic needs, from germination to fruiting. The dimmer thus ensures an ideal balance between effective light power and heat management, for healthy and efficient cultivation.
The 5-position dimmer of the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT LED Panel allows for adjusting the light power from 20% to 100%. This variation directly impacts the heat emitted by the panel: by decreasing the power, you also reduce the electrical consumption and, consequently, the generated heat.
This reduction contributes to a smoother and more uniform distribution of heat during flowering, limiting thermal stress for your plants. To optimize this balance, it remains essential to adjust the height of the panel according to growth and to monitor the ambient temperature in your growing space.
The 5-position dimmer of the 450W AGROLIGHT Quantum BOARD LED allows precise adjustment of light output, providing a dual advantage in SCROG. On one hand, it reduces heat generation by decreasing electrical intensity, thus facilitating thermal management and limiting the need for additional cooling systems. This helps maintain a stable canopy without thermal stress for the plants.
On the other hand, the dimmer optimizes electricity consumption by adjusting power to the various growing phases and the density of the SCROG. This means real energy savings while maintaining effective lighting. In summary, this dimmer provides an excellent balance between performance, heat control, and energy cost control.
The Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT comes with an adjustable suspension kit designed to be solid and easy to install. This system allows you to position the panel at the ideal height according to the development stage of your plants.
According to the available information, this kit is reliable and robust enough for standard use, and there is no need to plan for an additional support. However, if you have a special installation or a very demanding environment, it may be useful to check the fixture, but this is not a requirement.
To optimize both electricity consumption and yield with the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT LED panel, it is advisable to use the 5-position dimmer by adjusting the intensity according to the growth phase:
This precise adjustment allows adapting the light power to the specific needs of the plants, thus avoiding excessive or insufficient lighting while fully exploiting the complete spectrum and high efficiency of the Quantum BOARD 450W.
To optimize the use of the 5-position dimmer of the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT panel, it is advisable to set the light intensity between 40% and 60% during the growth phase to promote vigorous development without excess heat.
During flowering, gradually increase the power up to 80% or even 100% to maximize flower production, while adjusting the height of the panel and monitoring the temperature to avoid thermal stress.
This differentiated adjustment not only allows to adapt the light to the plants' needs but also to control energy consumption and emitted heat, thereby ensuring a healthy and efficient crop.
For the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT covering a surface of 1.2 x 1.2 m, the actual electrical consumption is about 270 W at 60% and 450 W at 100% of the nominal power. The panel offers a 5-position dimmer allowing this precise modulation.
Regarding the luminous efficiency, this Quantum BOARD delivers about 2.6 µmol/Joule under these conditions, corresponding to an approximate PAR flux of 660 µmol/s at 60% and 1170 µmol/s at 100%. This level of efficiency is ideal for optimized cultivation under LED lighting.
For a SCROG on 120x120 cm with the Quantum BOARD 450W AGROLIGHT panel, it is preferable to use the integrated dimmer set to approximately 60%. This setting offers an excellent compromise between sufficient light intensity for optimal photosynthesis and effective heat management, thus limiting thermal stress and excessive stretching of the plants.
In contrast, forcing the panel to 100% with an external coloc dimmer increases heat and can cause irregular stretching, harming the essential uniformity in SCROG and potentially reducing final yield. The built-in fixed-position dimmer is designed to precisely adjust the intensity without altering the spectrum, which is ideal for controlling the canopy.
In summary, favor a 60% setting on the panel to maximize your harvest in this type of cultivation.
