Lumatek is a company created in 2004, initially specializing in HPS lamps. It was in 2019 that the company decided to launch a range of LEDs for horticulture. These products are intended for indoor growers and horticultural professionals.

Lumatek is a brand of horticultural lighting equipment, including LED grow lights and other types of horticultural lighting systems. These products are designed for use in indoor growing and greenhouse environments to provide plants with the light they need for optimal growth and development. Lumatek grow lights are known for their energy efficiency and high performance, and are used by professional growers and hobbyists. In addition to LED grow lights, Lumatek also offers a range of other horticultural lighting products, such as high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps, ballasts and reflectors.

How to choose a Lumatek horticultural LED light?

To choose your Lumatek light, I advise you to first consider the size of your grow space and the type of plants you wish to cultivate. Models like the ATS 200W PRO are perfect for small spaces, while multi-bar systems like the Zeus 600W PRO 2.9 or even the Zeus 1000W Xtreme are ideal for large areas and demanding crops. Also, consider energy efficiency and the light spectrum suitable for your growth phases.

What is the difference between Zeus 600W and ATS 300W PRO Lumatek?

The main difference lies in power and design. The Zeus 600W PRO 2.9 is a multi-bar system, offering a more uniform light spread over a larger area, which is excellent for demanding crops. The ATS 300W PRO is a compact panel, more suitable for medium-sized grow spaces, with excellent efficiency for its category. In practice, the Zeus is often chosen for larger production needs.

What is a Lumatek horticultural LED light used for?

A Lumatek horticultural LED light is used to provide your plants with the optimal light spectrum they need for photosynthesis, at all stages of their development. Whether for germination, vegetative growth, or flowering, these lights replace or supplement natural light, allowing for efficient and productive indoor cultivation. I often see our customers achieve impressive yields thanks to the quality of Lumatek light.

Which Lumatek LED wattage should I choose for my indoor grow?

For indoor cultivation, the wattage must be adapted to the size of your space. For a small tent (approximately 60x60cm to 80x80cm), an ATS 200W PRO is often sufficient. For larger areas (1m x 1m to 1.2m x 1.2m), I recommend the ATS 300W PRO or the Zeus 465 PRO 2.9. Beyond that, for areas of 1.2m x 1.2m and larger, a Zeus 600W PRO 2.9 or the powerful ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme will be more appropriate to ensure optimal light coverage.

How to install a Lumatek Zeus or ATS LED panel?

Installing a Lumatek panel is generally simple. I advise you to start by securely attaching the fixture at the desired height using the supplied hangers. Make sure the power supply is off before plugging in the power cable. For multi-bar Zeus models, assembling the bars is intuitive. Remember to consult the specific manual for your model for details, especially for integration with the Lumatek Digital Panel for the ZEUS PRO 1000W Xtreme.

What light spectrum do Lumatek products offer?

Lumatek products offer a full and optimized spectrum, designed to support the growth and flowering of your plants. This spectrum generally includes a good proportion of blue for vegetative growth and deep red to stimulate flowering and fruiting. Some models, like the GH Top Light 680W, offer specific spectra (Blue & Red or White & Red) to better suit your needs. I find that this balanced spectrum is a major asset for plant vigor.

Which Lumatek light for growth and flowering?

Most Lumatek lights, such as the ATS PRO series (ATS 200W PRO, ATS 300W PRO) and Zeus (Zeus 600W PRO 2.9, Zeus 465 PRO 2.9), are designed with a full spectrum that is perfectly suited for both phases. They provide the necessary light for robust growth and abundant flowering. If you are looking for maximum flexibility, the Zeus multi-bar systems are particularly effective at covering all stages.

What mistakes to avoid with Lumatek horticultural LEDs?

A common mistake is placing the light too close or too far from the plants, which can cause light stress or lack of light. I advise always checking the manufacturer's distance recommendations. Also, avoid neglecting the ventilation of your space; even though LEDs generate less heat than HPS, good air circulation remains essential. Finally, do not underestimate the importance of a good spectrum and wattage choice for your specific needs.

Lumatek LED vs HPS: what are the differences?

The major difference between Lumatek LED and HPS lies in energy efficiency and light spectrum. Lumatek LEDs are much more efficient, consuming less energy for the same light intensity and producing less heat. They offer a full and customizable spectrum, unlike HPS which have a more limited spectrum. In practice, I find that LEDs often allow for better yields, better harvest quality, and a longer lifespan, despite a potentially higher initial investment.

What distance should I install a Lumatek light at?

The installation distance depends on the Lumatek model and the growth phase of your plants. For young seedlings and vegetative growth, I generally recommend starting with a higher distance (around 40-60 cm for an ATS 300W PRO) and adjusting it gradually. For flowering, you can bring the light closer (around 20-40 cm for a Zeus 600W PRO 2.9), always monitoring your plants for signs of stress. The manual for each product provides precise indications that I invite you to consult.
