GreenVisuaLED SpectraLINE: The LED bars revolutionizing your seedlings

GreenVisuaLED SpectraLINE LED bars are specially designed to support your seedlings and cuttings in their early stages of development. These compact lights deliver a perfectly calibrated light spectrum to stimulate germination and rooting, while consuming minimal energy. Say goodbye to old neon lights or oversized lamps for your young shoots.

Why choose SpectraLINE bars for your crops

The main advantage of SpectraLINE is their light spectrum, specifically designed for the delicate germination phases. Unlike traditional lights that often emit too much red or not enough blue, these bars offer a perfect balance between 400 and 700nm. The result? More robust stems, accelerated rooting, and seedlings that don't stretch towards the light.

The IP65 protection rating truly changes the game in our growing spaces. You can mist your seedlings without fear of humidity, and clean around the bars without stress. This waterproofing also guarantees an extended lifespan, even in the most humid environments of your propagation areas.

In terms of consumption, we're looking at 20 to 40W depending on the chosen length. This is negligible compared to a 58W fluorescent tube that generates unnecessary heat. SpectraLINE bars remain cool, preventing thermal stress on your fragile young plants.

How to choose your SpectraLINE bar

The length directly depends on your seedling area. For a 30x40cm mini-greenhouse, the 30cm version is more than sufficient. If you're working on standard 60cm trays, logically opt for the 60cm. The 90 and 120cm versions are suitable for growers who cultivate in volume or want to illuminate several trays in a row.

Installation height plays a crucial role. Place your SpectraLINE between 15 and 25cm from your seedlings for an optimal PPFD of around 100-150 µmol/m²/s. Too close, you risk burning the cotyledons. Too far, your seedlings will stretch as they search for light.

Also consider scalability. SpectraLINE V2 bars can be daisy-chained, allowing you to expand your setup as you go. A real plus when you start small and want to develop your plant production.

Frequently asked questions

Which SpectraLINE bar length should I choose for my seedlings and cuttings: 30cm, 60cm, 90cm, or 120cm?

The choice depends on your growing area. The 30cm effectively covers 30x30cm, ideal for a mini-greenhouse or a few pots. The 60cm perfectly illuminates a standard 40x60cm seedling tray. For larger areas or if you want to illuminate several trays in a row, the 90 and 120cm versions offer homogeneous coverage without shaded areas. Calculate approximately 25-30cm of effective lighting width per bar.

How to install GreenVisuaLED SpectraLINE V2 bars for optimal lighting of young plants?

Attach your bars 15-25cm above the seedlings with the provided supports or adjustable chains. Ensure that the lighting uniformly covers the entire surface without creating dark areas at the edges. The bars connect easily in series thanks to the included connecting cables. Always orient the LED side downwards and ensure good ventilation around them, even though these bars generate very little heat.

Is the SpectraLINE spectrum suitable only for seedlings and cuttings, or also for subsequent growth?

SpectraLINE are optimized for germination, seedling, and cutting phases with a blue-rich spectrum promoting root development and compact growth. For subsequent vegetative growth, their power becomes limiting for more developed plants. You can use them as a supplement to main lighting or to maintain mother plants in slow growth, but you will need to switch to more powerful lighting for vigorous growth.

What distance should be maintained between SpectraLINE bars and my indoor plants?

Maintain a distance of 15 to 25cm between the bars and the top of your seedlings. At 15cm, you get a PPFD of about 150 µmol/m²/s, perfect for vigorous seedlings. At 25cm, you go down to 100 µmol/m²/s, ideal for fragile cuttings in the process of rooting. Adjust the height as they grow to maintain this optimal distance and prevent stretching.

How to maintain SpectraLINE IP65 LED bars to ensure long-lasting efficiency?

Maintenance is minimal thanks to IP65 protection. Clean the LED surface with a slightly damp cloth monthly to remove dust that reduces light efficiency. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the coating. Regularly check electrical connections, especially if you are using multiple bars in series. Store them in a dry place if you are not using them for several months.

What LED power should I choose for my seedlings and cuttings?

For seedlings and cuttings, I advise against choosing excessive power. SpectraLINE bars are designed to be effective without overloading your young plants. Generally, moderate power is sufficient to stimulate germination and rooting, such as those you'll find in our Standard range.

How do I choose the right horticultural LED lighting for my plants?

To choose the ideal lighting, I first look at the plant's development stage. For seedlings and cuttings, as with our SpectraLINE, I prioritize a spectrum optimized for germination and rooting. For more mature plants, a more complete spectrum will be needed, but for starting out, precision is key.

What's the difference between LED bars and traditional horticultural lamps?

The main difference is specificity and efficiency. LED bars, like SpectraLINE, are often more compact and deliver a very targeted spectrum, ideal for seedlings without wasting energy. Traditional lamps, like neon lights, are often less efficient in terms of spectrum and consumption, and can be more cumbersome.

What is the purpose of a full light spectrum for germination?

In reality, for germination and early stages, a full spectrum is not always necessary. What I'm looking for is a specific spectrum that promotes the activation of germination processes and root development. SpectraLINE bars are precisely calibrated for this, focusing on the wavelengths most useful at this stage.

How do I install a SpectraLINE LED bar for my seedlings?

Installation is generally very simple. I recommend positioning the bar at a reasonable distance from your seedlings, often between 15 and 30 cm, to avoid light stress while ensuring good intensity. Make sure it covers the entire surface of your young shoots well. For more humid environments, don't hesitate to look at our IP65 options.

What plant-to-lamp distance should I use to avoid light stress?

This is a crucial question! For seedlings and cuttings with SpectraLINE, I recommend maintaining a distance of about 15 to 30 centimeters. The idea is to provide enough light without burning the delicate young leaves. Always observe your plants: if the leaves turn yellow or curl, the light is too intense or too close.

How many hours of light per day for young shoots?

For young shoots, I generally recommend a cycle of 16 to 18 hours of light per day, followed by a dark period of 6 to 8 hours. This dark period is just as important for cellular respiration and root development. This is a balance I've found very effective in practice.

Do horticultural LEDs really consume less electricity?

Absolutely! This is one of the major advantages of horticultural LEDs, and particularly our SpectraLINE. They are designed to be very energy-efficient compared to traditional lighting like neon or HPS, while offering a much more suitable and effective light spectrum for your plants' growth. It's an investment that pays for itself quickly.
