This controller switches a heater, fans or an air conditioner on and off according to measured temperature. It accepts up to 16 A in prolonged operation, making it capable of driving appliances far hungrier than a simple extractor.
What sets it apart: the 16 A. Most controllers in the range drive fans; this one also takes a heater or an air conditioner, with no extra relay.
Driving heating, not just ventilation
Regulating a grow room is not only about removing heat. In winter, or during the dark period, temperature can drop too low and slow growth. This controller drives either a device that warms or one that cools, depending on the mode selected.
A 5-metre sensor that changes the install
The 5-metre cable lets you place the unit where it is accessible — outside the space, near the socket — while measuring temperature exactly where it matters. That is what separates accurate regulation from approximate regulation.
Memory, the detail that avoids nasty surprises
After a power cut, the unit recovers its configured values instead of reverting to factory settings. On an installation running unattended, that is what stops you finding an out-of-spec grow room on your return.

If you are driving a heater, leave a large enough gap between the heating setpoint and the ventilation setpoint: otherwise the two appliances take turns continuously and burn power for nothing. Two to three degrees is usually enough.
