Cli-mate Humidity Controller 16 A
Humidifier or dehumidifier • 0 to 99 % range • Up to 16 A • 5 m sensor
This humidistat measures the grow room’s relative humidity and triggers whichever device is needed: a humidifier when the air is too dry, a dehumidifier when it is too loaded. The range covered runs from 0 to 99 %, and the unit accepts up to 16 A.
Why humidity deserves its own device: it is what decides whether botrytis appears late in flower. Ventilation alone is not always enough to contain it.
Two modes, two opposite problems
Humidification mode triggers the device when humidity falls below the setpoint — useful in winter, when taking cuttings, or in a heated room. Dehumidification mode does the opposite and proves essential late in flower, when a large canopy transpires heavily and the air saturates.
Humidity is a matter of growth stage
Needs differ from one end of the cycle to the other: a cutting wants loaded air, a plant in late flower wants the opposite. An adjustable humidistat lets you follow that curve without changing equipment, simply by moving the setpoint.
Ventilation and humidity work together
Ventilating removes moisture, but also draws in outside air whose water content varies. Depending on the season, ventilation can therefore worsen the problem rather than solve it. It is exactly for those situations that a dedicated device keeps its value alongside a fan controller.

GrowLED tip :
Place the humidity probe inside the canopy, not above it: that is where air stagnates between the leaves and where botrytis starts. A reading taken 30 cm above the canopy can show 10 points less than what the flowers actually experience.
