Instead of switching abruptly between low and high speed, this controller makes ventilation rise progressively as temperature drifts from the setpoint. The regulation band is adjustable up to 7 °C: that is what delivers a stable microclimate, without the swings of a simple thermostat.

You hear the difference: no more fan bursts starting and stopping every ten minutes. Speed follows the temperature instead of chasing it.

What “hysteresis” means here

The term refers to the temperature band across which speed evolves. Set the target to 25 °C with a 4 °C band: at 25 °C the fan runs at its minimum speed, at 29 °C it reaches maximum, and in between it climbs gradually. No steps, no abrupt switching.

Two potentiometers to frame the range

The minimum speed setting guarantees permanent air renewal, even when temperature is low. The maximum speed setting caps the level, letting you limit noise or protect a motor you would rather not push. Regulation works between those two bounds.

Two inputs, two fans

The unit offers an input on each side, letting you connect an extractor and an intake fan, or two extractors. Both follow the same setpoint, keeping incoming and outgoing air balanced without separate adjustment.

Three ratings to match your installation

The 7 A, 12 A and 16 A versions cover very different installation sizes. Add up the draw of the motors to be connected and pick the version above that total. The price gap between two versions is far smaller than the cost of replacing a controller that turned out too tight.

GrowLED tip :
A wide band (5 to 7 °C) gives the gentlest and quietest operation, but lets temperature climb further before full speed is reached. A narrow band (2 to 3 °C) reacts faster but edges toward thermostat behaviour. Start at 4 °C, then adjust based on what you observe.
