For the Prima Klima Ø200mm - L50cm charcoal filter, it is advised to replace the activated charcoal every 12 to 18 months to maintain optimal effectiveness against odors. Activated charcoal cannot be cleaned, as it works by adsorption and should not be wet or exposed to moisture during maintenance.
If your filter is equipped with a pre-filter, it can be cleaned with water every 3 to 6 months to extend the lifespan of the main filter. Finally, monitor performance: as soon as you perceive odors despite the filter, consider an early replacement.
This routine contributes to effective odor management in your growing space and ensures continuously well-filtered air.
- What is the average electrical consumption of this Prima Klima Ø200mm activated carbon filter for a flow rate of 1000 m3/h and its impact on the overall efficiency of the extraction system?
The Prima Klima Ø200mm activated carbon filter is a passive element, so it does not consume electricity directly. The average electrical consumption primarily depends on the associated extractor, typically the model Prima Klima Ø200mm PK200-L, which consumes between 160 and 170 watts for a flow rate close to 1000 m³/h, amounting to about 3.8 to 4.1 kWh per day in continuous operation.
Regarding overall efficiency, integrating the filter leads to a pressure drop that reduces the effective flow rate by 10 to 20%, often bringing the usable flow rate down to between 800 and 900 m³/h. This drop may require a slightly oversized extractor or regular maintenance of the filter to maintain optimal efficiency of the extraction system.
In summary, the filter ensures effective filtration without additional consumption, but involves a trade-off related to reduced air flow and the indirect impact on extractor consumption.
- What is the average lifespan of the Prima Klima 200mm activated carbon filter in intensive use before replacement is necessary? The average lifespan of the Prima Klima Ø200mm activated carbon filter in intensive use is generally between 12 and 18 months. This period depends on regular maintenance of the pre-filter, as well as monitoring humidity (below 70%) and temperature (below 70°C) to maintain optimal efficiency. Beyond this, it becomes necessary to replace the activated carbon to ensure consistent filter performance.
- Is the Pirma Klima Ø200mm charcoal filter compatible with an extractor of 800 m³/h for a surface of 80x80 cm?The Pirma Klima Ø200mm charcoal filter – L50cm – Max. 1000 m³/h is perfectly compatible with an extractor of 800 m³/h for a growing area of 80x80 cm. The maximum filtering capacity of the filter exceeds the flow rate of the extractor, ensuring optimal filtration without overload. This configuration guarantees excellent air circulation and purification for your area of 0.64 m².
- What is the maximum heat resistance of the Prima Klima 200mm carbon filter to ensure optimal filtration without degradation in a grow space with continuous extraction? The Prima Klima Ø200mm carbon filter (Eco Line model, max flow rate 1000 m³/h) supports a maximum ambient temperature of 70°C to ensure optimal filtration without degradation.
