To optimize the use of the integrated dimmer of the HLG 750 Diablo between the growth and flowering phases without compromising coverage, here is the ideal procedure:
Growth phase: Reduce light intensity via the dimmer to promote healthy vegetative growth while maintaining even distribution over an area of about 1.5 m².
Flowering phase: Gradually increase intensity to provide powerful lighting suitable for flower production, without overloading the plants.
Key tip: Regularly monitor plant responses and finely adjust the dimmer according to their specific needs to ensure optimal light coverage and balanced development.
The HLG 750 Diablo, with its 1152 LEDs and excellent photon efficiency (2.86 µmol/J), offers you all the flexibility needed to manage these settings with ease.
The HLG 750 Diablo is equipped with an integrated dimmer that works perfectly right from delivery and allows for precise control of the lighting. However, the official documentation does not explicitly detail the durability of the dimming system or the absence of noise interference or loss of adjustability over the long term.
The 5-year warranty covers the product as a whole, which includes any potential malfunction, dimmer included. In other words, this system is designed to be reliable, but no specific data supports its perfect longevity without any alteration.
If total control of dimming over the long term is a critical criterion, we can also recommend other lighting solutions that offer robust and recognized brightness control.
The HLG 750 Diablo displays an excellent real yield of about 2.86 µmol/J in dense cultivation, placing it among the high-performance LED solutions for growth and flowering.
Regarding the average PPFD at 30 cm, the specifications provide an optimal footprint for a canopy height between 38 and 61 cm; at 30 cm, one can expect a higher PPFD, but without a precise measurement provided, it is difficult to indicate the exact value.
Finally, the integrated dimmer allows for intensity adjustment without major loss of efficiency, but the precise impact on yield in µmol/J has not been officially quantified. In practice, the lamp maintains very good efficiency even when dimmed.
The HLG 750 Diablo is perfectly suited for a complete growth and flowering cycle, whether in hydroponics or soil. Its balanced light spectrum, designed for all stages of development, delivers high and consistent intensity, ideal for stimulating plants in both types of substrates. Its design with integrated reflectors optimizes light diffusion, ensuring excellent yield regardless of your cultivation method.
The HLG 750 Diablo uses a passive cooling system, without fans, which reduces noise and potentially limits the heat under the canopy compared to certain models equipped with active cooling. This design promotes quieter operation and can help minimize local overheating, especially in well-ventilated spaces.
However, in hot environments, passive cooling is sometimes less effective than an active system. To optimize its performance and keep heat under control, it is recommended to maintain ambient temperatures between 25°C and 29°C.
Finally, with a photon efficiency of 2.86 to 2.88 μmol/J, the HLG 750 Diablo provides excellent light output while managing heat effectively. It is a premium choice for combining power and thermal management in indoor cultivation.
The passive thermal dissipation of the HLG 750 Diablo is very effective at keeping its internal components at a low temperature due to natural convection. However, in a closed grow tent without ventilation, this dissipation alone may not be enough to limit the overall temperature.
To ensure an optimal environment, especially during periods of high light and growth, it is recommended to add a ventilation system. A fan provides essential air circulation to dissipate accumulated heat and maintain the health of your plants.
The HLG 750 Diablo is equipped with a very reliable integrated dimmer, designed for intensive use over several years without loss of functionality. The 5-year warranty provided by the manufacturer is a testament to the robustness and quality of this dimmable power supply. User feedback is generally very positive, with remarkable durability of the system, even under demanding conditions. Its passive cooled design also helps preserve the electronic components, including the dimmer, thus ensuring stability over time.
To optimize the hanging distance of the HLG 750 Diablo and maximize yield without burning risk, it is essential to adjust the height according to the growth phase:
With its Quantum Boards with reflectors and dimmable technology, the HLG 750 Diablo also allows you to adjust the light intensity to meet your plants' needs, further limiting the risk of burning when the light is too close.
The HLG 750 Diablo features a precise dimmer that allows you to finely tune the light intensity according to your plants' needs, ideal for every stage of growth and flowering. Thanks to its passive-cooled design, this panel effectively limits overheating, making it perfectly suitable for small enclosed spaces like grow tents. This precise adjustment optimizes growth while maintaining a stable temperature, ensuring an ideal environment for your indoor crops.
The HLG 750 Diablo offers a full spectrum white light with a Red:Green:Blue ratio of 37:42:21 %, combining a rich green and blue white with deep reds. This spectrum is ideal for ensuring vigorous vegetative growth and optimal flowering.
At full power (100 %), it delivers a PPF of around 2056 to 2089 µmol/s with a remarkable photon efficacy of 2.86 to 2.88 µmol/J. The consumption then reaches around 715-730 W.
The integrated dimmer allows a reduction to 50 % power (around 360 W), which proportionally reduces the PPF while maintaining perfectly adapted lighting for the growth phase where less intensity is needed. This modulation optimizes the consumption/yield ratio (g/W).
For your space of 1.5 m², it is advised to use the setting at 50 % during growth to limit energy costs, then switch to 100 % during flowering to maximize production while benefiting from the maximum PPF and a full spectrum.
This dimmable approach ensures an excellent compromise between energy efficiency and performance, optimizing yield in grams per watt according to the cultivation phase.
For a hydroponic surface of 1.5 m², the HLG 750 Diablo consumes approximately 715 watts at full power, compared to 1000 watts for a standard 1000 W HPS panel, resulting in a reduction in consumption of about 30 to 40%.
In terms of light output, the HLG 750 Diablo provides a photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) of approximately 2080 µmol/s with a photon efficiency close to 2.86-2.88 µmol/J. In contrast, a 1000 W HPS panel typically produces a lower flux (around 1500-1700 µmol/s) with an efficiency of only 1.5 to 1.7 µmol/J, making it almost twice less efficient.
In summary, the HLG 750 Diablo offers better light output for lower electrical consumption, with a spectrum better suited for growth and flowering in hydroponics while generating less heat.
The HLG 750 Diablo is equipped with a built-in dimmer that offers fine and precise control over light intensity. This adjustment allows for perfect adaptation of the panel's power to the different phases of the growth cycle: a gentler intensity for vegetation, promoting balanced growth over approximately 1.5 m², followed by a gradual increase for flowering to maximize flower development.
Thanks to this flexibility, you can easily manage light according to your plants' specific needs, with a wide enough variation to optimize each stage of the cycle without compromising on quality or light coverage.
