Your questions
Question: Is it possible to use two 100W HPLEDs in parallel on a 900 x 900 mm growing area, and if so, what would be the optimal spacing between the lamps to ensure uniform coverage without creating excessive heat zones?
Yes, it is entirely possible to use two 100W HPLED FULL SPECTRUM lamps in parallel on a 900 x 900 mm area. Each lamp ideally covers about 60 x 60 cm, so two lamps more than adequately cover this surface.
For uniform coverage and to avoid overheating zones, it is recommended to space them approximately 45 cm apart. The optimal hanging height is also around 45 cm above the plants. This arrangement ensures uniform light distribution and effective heat management, which is low with this type of lamp.

The 100W Full Spectrum HPLED Secret Jardin horticultural LED lighting is ideal for growing multiple varieties simultaneously in the same room without adjusting the height for each plant. Its full spectrum, covering UV and IR, meets the needs of all growth phases, ensuring harmonious development for different species.
Moreover, this lamp emits very little heat, which limits the risk of burning and allows it to be positioned at a fixed height, even for sensitive plants. Its homogeneous lighting surface (60 x 60 cm) guarantees uniform light intensity for each variety, facilitating simple and effective management.
Finally, its excellent light output and low consumption make it a high-performance and economical solution for versatile indoor cultivation.
What is the average lifespan of the HPLED 100W LEDs and how does their luminous efficiency evolve over time?
The HPLED 100W LEDs from Secret Jardin have an average lifespan of more than 50,000 hours, which ensures significant stability for your indoor crops.
Over time, their luminous efficiency decreases slightly, as is common with all LEDs, but this decline remains moderate. These panels are designed to minimize this loss, thus ensuring sufficient quality light to support the growth and flowering of your plants in the long term.
Is integration possible with home automation systems to control intensity and schedules based on cultivation cycles?
The LED Garden Lighting - HPLED 100 W - FULL SPECTRUM from Secret Jardin does not feature integration capabilities with a home automation system. It is neither dimmable nor connected and does not provide automatic control of intensity or lighting schedules.
To precisely manage your cultivation cycles via home automation, we recommend opting for horticultural LED solutions that are compatible with remote management and dimming, available in our catalog. These systems offer fine control tailored to your indoor growing needs.
What is the best timer management to alternate this HPLED 100W with a second light in the same growing room to optimize growth and flowering without overheating the plants and without disturbing the light cycle?
To optimize the alternation between the HPLED 100W and a second light in the same growing room, it is essential to maintain a stable light cycle and avoid overheating. During the growth phase, you can set the timer to use the HPLED for about 18 hours a day (for example, from 08:00 to 02:00), followed by the second light for the remaining 6 hours (02:00 to 08:00). This schedule provides intense light without excess heat.
During the flowering phase, reduce the HPLED to 12 hours (08:00-20:00) and possibly alternate with the second light for the next 12 hours. This alternation preserves the natural cycle while avoiding excessive heating of the plants.
Keep a close eye on the temperature (ideally between 18 and 24°C) and adjust the lighting duration based on the health of your plants. This careful timer management ensures a perfect balance between growth and flowering without disrupting their rhythm.
how to optimize the height management of this HPLED 100W light to maximize growth and flowering yield in a restricted cultivation space without risk of burning?
To optimize the lighting with the HPLED 100W FULL SPECTRUM - Secret Jardin in a restricted space, it is recommended to adjust the height according to the growth phase:
- During growth: keep the lamp approximately 45 cm above the top of the plants to ensure effective light intensity without thermal stress.
- During flowering: you can move it closer to 35 cm, thus taking advantage of the low heat emission to maximize the light received without risking burns.
The integrated height adjustment system makes these adjustments easy as the plants develop. Simply monitor the condition of the upper leaves for any signs of potential stress. This precise management allows for fully utilizing the full spectrum and light power of the HPLED 100W, even in limited spaces.
Is the HPLED 100W Full Spectrum light easily dimmable to adjust the intensity during growth and flowering?
The HPLED 100W Full Spectrum light from Secret Jardin does not have a built-in or easy dimming function to electronically adjust the light intensity during growth or flowering. You can only adjust the height of the lamp to modulate the light received by the plants. This system offers a full spectrum suitable for all phases, but if you want precise control over intensity, you will need to consider equipment with an integrated dimmer.
What is the exact operating temperature of the HPLED 100W lamp at full power and what cooling system is integrated to limit the emitted heat?
The HPLED 100W FULL SPECTRUM lamp operates ideally within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C at full power. Its cooling system is passive, so there is no fan: heat is naturally dissipated thanks to an integrated heat sink. This principle ensures completely silent operation, low heat emission, and allows the lamp to be positioned close to plants without the risk of burning.
