The precise electrical efficiency of the Lumatek 650W VF driver is not officially published, but it is generally estimated to be between 92 and 95%, which is standard for this type of high-end driver. This driver is designed to power VF90W and VF120W LED bars, which often use Samsung LM301B LEDs, thus offering excellent compatibility to maximize your luminaire efficiency.
For a 1.5x1.5m area, it is recommended to install about 600 to 630W of LEDs (for example 5 x VF120W or 7 x VF90W) for dense and uniform lighting, which will help you optimize the grams per watt ratio. Make sure to distribute your bars properly according to the space to achieve good light uniformity.
In summary, with this driver and Samsung LM301B LEDs on suitable bars, you benefit from a reliable and efficient source, ideal for vertical farming cultivation with a good balance between power and efficiency.
The 650W Lumatek driver is specially designed to power Lumatek LED bars VF90W and VF120W, particularly using Samsung LM301B LEDs, ideal for vertical farming. It can manage up to 7 VF90W bars or 5 VF120W bars, providing a total power close to 630W, ensuring uniform brightness over an area of about 1.5 x 1.5 meters.
To optimize its use according to growth phases, this driver offers a manual dimmer 0-100% (0-10V) allowing easy adjustment of light intensity. For example, reduce power during the growth phase to limit light stress, then increase it during the fluorescence phase for maximum yield. It is also compatible with the Lumatek Plus 2.0 control panel, providing finer and automated control.
This solution ensures precise and effective control, maximizing photosynthesis while managing energy consumption, perfectly suited for a vertical farming context.
The 650W Lumatek driver is specifically designed to power Lumatek LED bars from the VF90W and VF120W series, which frequently use Samsung LM301B LEDs, well-suited for vertical farming. Therefore, it is not universally compatible with all types of LEDs but optimized for this specific range.
This driver can handle up to 7 VF90W bars or 5 VF120W bars simultaneously and offers intensity control via a 0-10 V input, allowing for fine management of lighting with controllers like the Lumatek Plus 2.0 panel. Outside of these specific bars and electrical characteristics, using it with other LEDs requires a strict compatibility check.
In summary, it is a solution perfectly suited for Lumatek VF bars, but it is advisable to avoid pairing it with LEDs not intended for this driver to ensure performance and safety.
The 650W Lumatek driver is specifically designed for Lumatek VF90W and VF120W LED bars used in vertical cultivation. It allows you to connect up to 7 VF90W bars or 5 VF120W bars simultaneously, providing precise control through its manual dimmer and compatibility with 0-10V systems like the Lumatek Plus 2.0 panel.
However, this driver is not universal for all vertical horticultural LEDs: it is optimized for this Lumatek range equipped with specific chips, and its use with other types of LEDs is not guaranteed or recommended. For other models, you will need to check electrical compatibility before use.
The Lumatek 650W driver is designed to manage the power of Lumatek VF90W and VF120W LED bars through manual variation from 0 to 100% via a 0-10V control, allowing precise adjustment of light intensity according to the growth or flowering phase.
For even finer optimization, it is compatible with the Lumatek Plus 2.0 controller, which automatically adjusts brightness based on the growth cycle and ambient conditions, ensuring healthy growth and maximum flowering.
This regulation provides homogeneous illumination on surfaces dedicated to vertical farming while ensuring energy efficiency and robust protection suited to demanding environments.
The yield in grams per Watt cannot be attributed to the Lumatek 650W driver itself, as it primarily depends on the cultivated plant, the light spectrum, and the growing conditions.
This driver is designed to efficiently power VF90W or VF120W LED bars with a maximum power output of around 630W. It features an IP65 protection rating and can operate in environments up to 40°C without needing additional cooling, as long as air circulation is adequate around it. An active ventilation system is only useful in confined spaces or where temperatures exceed recommendations.
In summary, to maintain optimal efficiency, just ensure good ventilation around the driver and operate within the recommended temperature range.
The Lumatek 650W driver for LED Vertical Farming lighting does not inherently provide a specific lumen per watt efficiency, as this primarily depends on the associated LED modules. Its electrical performance is, however, very efficient, with an energy efficiency of around 92 to 95%. Generally, it is optimized for the VF90W and VF120W LED modules equipped with Samsung LM301B, which is known for its excellent lm/W efficiency.
Regarding compatibility, this driver is specifically designed for these LED bars at a determined voltage. It does not directly support LED modules with very different voltages, although it can adjust its intensity via a 0-10V dimmer control. This feature provides some flexibility, but it is preferable to use the recommended modules to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
The Lumatek 650W driver for vertical farming LEDs consumes approximately 103 W with VF90W bars and 130 W with VF120W bars, considering the mains voltage (230 V AC). Its electrical efficiency is high, between 92% and 95%, meaning it limits energy losses and optimizes the power supplied to the LEDs.
Compared to a standard LED driver, often around 85-90% efficiency, the Lumatek ensures a better luminous efficiency per watt, particularly thanks to its Samsung LM301B LEDs. For an area of 1.5 x 1.5 m, it is recommended to use around 600 to 630 W of LEDs, balancing brightness and consumption.
Regarding the recent EDF tariff increase, even though the cost of electricity is rising, the efficiency of the Lumatek helps contain the financial impact compared to an installation with a less efficient driver. The nominal consumption remains constant, but better efficiency reduces losses and thus the energy bill.
In summary, the Lumatek 650W driver ensures controlled consumption and effective lighting, limiting the effects of tariff fluctuations thanks to its high efficiency.
The Lumatek 650W driver is specifically designed to power the Lumatek LED bars VF90W and VF120W, which typically integrate Samsung LM301B LEDs, particularly suitable for vertical micro-cultivation. It can drive up to 7 VF90W bars or 5 VF120W bars simultaneously, ensuring optimal performance over areas of approximately 1.5 x 1.5 meters.
Besides these Lumatek bars, the driver can work with other LED modules as long as their electrical characteristics (voltage, current) are very close and compatible with the integrated 0-10V dimming control. Nevertheless, using it with brands or models of LEDs with different voltages is not recommended to preserve the reliability and longevity of the equipment.
