Biosecurity on a site is decided at the door
Hygiene in a grow room does not begin with disinfectant: it begins with a circulation plan that stops a pest getting in, then with scouting regular enough to detect it before it settles. The equipment comes only after that.
Zoning and forward flow
The foundation of prophylaxis costs almost nothing: physically separating propagation from production, defining a single direction of travel — from cleanest to dirtiest — and never working back along it, imposing an airlock with a change of clothing, and keeping one set of tools per zone. A site that brings visitors in through the propagation room cancels out everything it goes on to buy.
This zoning is coupled with a sequencing rule: clean first, then disinfect, and respect the contact time stated for the product used. A disinfectant applied to a dirty surface or onto biofilm does not work.
Scout before intervening
An observation round at fixed intervals, sticky cards read and counted, an action threshold defined for each crop: from there, intervention becomes a dated and recorded decision, rather than a response to an infestation that is already visible. Integrated biological protection rests on the same principle — beneficials are introduced preventively, and their effectiveness depends on the climate, on the pest stage and on the persistence of products applied beforehand.
What this section covers, and what it does not
It deals with equipment: carriers and dispensers for biological control, cleaning and application equipment, personal protection, spraying equipment. It does not carry plant protection products, biocidal products or living beneficial organisms. Biocide and plant protection product are not synonyms in any case: they are two distinct legal frameworks.

Protecting operators and recording interventions
Re-entry intervals, personal protective equipment actually worn and separate storage of soiled clothing belong to the same plan as the zoning. Every intervention is recorded: date, zone, product, operator. That register is the first thing an auditor will ask for, and the only way to analyse a failure instead of repeating it.
Application equipment is the only sub-family stocked today: battery and motorised sprayers cover foliar application under cover.
