To master the heat under your 600W HID lamp in the Homebox Evolution R120, here’s how to make the most of the 2 OmniFlow 200mm vents and the 200mm duct:
1. Distribution of OmniFlow vents: Use one vent for fresh air intake and the other for hot air extraction. This ensures optimal air exchange and limits heat buildup.
2. Extraction through the 200mm duct: Install a powerful extractor in the duct at the ceiling to speed up the evacuation of warm air generated by your HID lamp.
3. Continuous and controlled ventilation: Keep the system running continuously by adjusting the speed to avoid excessive drafts, while constantly renewing the air.
4. Automated thermal management: Consider a thermostat to automatically trigger the extractor as soon as a threshold temperature is reached, thereby optimizing regulation without manual intervention.
5. Internal air circulation: Space your plants sufficiently to promote even circulation, which helps distribute heat and avoid overheating areas.
By applying these tips, the thermal environment in your Homebox will remain ideal for healthy and vigorous growth.
The Homebox Ambient R120 supports a total suspended weight of 75 kg, which includes your heating or cooling devices. To preserve the structure and ensure effective ventilation, it is recommended to opt for equipment with a power of up to around 1000 W, suitable for the volume of 1.944 m³ of the tent.
The tent is equipped with ventilation ports of 100 to 200 mm allowing good air circulation, essential for limiting the risks of overheating or excessive cooling. Ensure that the diameter of the ducts matches your devices and that the temperature remains well controlled to guarantee an optimal environment for your plants.
In summary, as long as the total weight remains below 75 kg and the ventilation is well sized, you can safely integrate a standard heating or cooling system up to 1000 W, perfectly suitable for this cultivation size.
The water consumption in a Homebox Evolution R120 grow room is not directly related to the model itself, but rather to the management of humidity and plant transpiration. Compared to a classic cube box, the R120 offers a larger volume and optimized ventilation due to its multiple air inlets and outlets, making it easier to control humidity and limit excess heat.
To avoid excessive humidity, the key point remains good ventilation tailored to the size of the volume, along with regular monitoring of watering based on the plants' needs. Thus, even if water consumption may be similar, the Homebox R120 allows for better control of the indoor environment, reducing the risks of excess humidity and heat compared to a more compact cube box.
The Homebox Ambient R120 (120 x 90 x 180 cm) is perfectly suited for a SCROG configuration under LED lighting. Its rectangular shape provides an ideal surface for setting up a trellis and effectively managing the canopy, while its height allows for positioning the lighting at an optimal distance.
Thanks to its multiple vents of varying diameters, including two adjustable 200 mm OmniFlow Airvents, the tent ensures excellent airflow and efficient thermal dissipation. The PAR+ inner lining reflects light evenly while limiting heat directed towards the plants, which helps maintain a stable environment even under powerful LEDs.
In summary, the Homebox Ambient R120 combines optimized space and efficient ventilation, without compromising temperature control, making it ideal for a successful SCROG.
The Homebox Ambient R120 Grow Room is perfectly designed to accommodate efficient ventilation and lighting systems, thanks to its 200 mm OmniFlow openings and vents that facilitate the installation of suitable equipment.
However, this tent does not have an integrated home automation system for automatic real-time control. You can connect compatible fans and LED lamps to external home automation controllers, but the real-time adjustment will be done through these devices, not directly via the tent itself.
In summary, mechanical integration is simple and optimal, but electronic management requires specialized external devices.
To optimize heat management under LED in the Homebox Ambient R120 (120 x 90 x 180 cm) while maintaining a stable CO2 level, we recommend an adjusted ventilation:
This configuration respects the balance between extraction and air intake, avoiding overheating while ensuring an optimal environment for photosynthesis under LED.
The Homebox Evolution R120 grow tent provides a useful area of approximately 1.08 m² (120x90 cm) with a height of 180 cm, ideal for effective lighting.
For this volume, a HPS 600W remains the classic recommended solution, as it delivers optimized light intensity, perfectly suited to the tent's area and ensures even coverage thanks to the reflective PAR+ coating.
A 300W LED lamp may suffice for less demanding crops or more economical lighting, provided that the LED is of high quality with good light output (high PPFD) and covers the entire area well.
In summary, for optimal production in this tent, it is preferable to prioritize 600W HPS lighting, but a high-quality 300W LED can be an alternative, provided it is well-suited.
The rectangular structure of the Homebox Ambient R120 (120 x 90 x 180 cm) does not hinder the optimization of a SCROG under LED. On the contrary, it offers a slightly larger surface than 1 m² (approximately 1.08 m²) with proportions that facilitate the installation of the trellis and the management of plants.
The light distribution is homogeneous thanks to the highly reflective interior coating, ideal for LEDs or 600 W lamps, and the height of 180 cm ensures a good adjustment of the distance between light and plants. Ventilation, which is crucial in SCROG, is also very well thought out with several openings and precise adjustments.
Finally, the robustness of the tubes allows them to easily support the equipment and the SCROG grid. This rectangular dimension is therefore a real asset for maximizing your cultivation under LED.
To effectively manage the heat emitted by a 600W HID lamp in the grow box Ambient R120 (120x90x180 cm), we strongly recommend a specific active cooling system. A simple passive ventilation system, even if well-sized, does not sufficiently dissipate the heat.
The grow box is equipped with several suitable ventilation points, including 200 mm ducts, facilitating the installation of an effective active system. Using an air-cooled reflector (Cooltube) combined with mechanical ventilation using an extractor and intake fan allows for the heat to be extracted directly at the source, thus avoiding overheating around the plants and ensuring optimal thermal control.
This type of installation protects plant health and significantly optimizes their growth compared to simple passive ventilation. The modular design of the Ambient R120 fully supports an active ventilation system, making it an ideal environment for 600W HID lighting.
To effectively reduce odors in the Homebox Evolution R120 without compromising ventilation, it is essential to take advantage of the multiple ventilation openings (100, 160, and 200 mm) equipped with OmniFlow vents. Installing a high-performance extraction system on the roof outlet (200 mm) will allow for the rapid expulsion of hot, odor-laden air while maintaining a balanced airflow.
To neutralize odors, adding an activated carbon filter on the extraction duct is crucial, ensuring optimal filtration without hindering air circulation. Ensure to correctly position the low air inlets to bring in fresh air, and the high outlets to expel stale air, creating an effective natural flow. Finally, adjust the power of the fans to maintain a balance between odor extraction and indoor climate stability, which will promote plant health.
The Homebox Ambient R120, with its dimensions of 120x90x180 cm and its super reflective PAR+ lining, is perfectly designed to utilize a 600W HID lamp fitted with a rectangular reflector. In optimal ventilation conditions—thanks to 160 to 200 mm ducts and OmniFlow vents—and good management of PAR+, you can achieve an average efficiency of around 1 gram per watt (g/W).
Specifically, this means that with 600W HID, a well-managed crop in this grow box can produce around 600 grams. This excellent yield relies on the quality of reflection, effective ventilation, and a stable environment, all essential for maximizing photosynthesis.
