For a Gorilla Grow Tent of 150 x 275 x 210/240 cm, the use of standard mini extractors is not recommended. The large volume of the tent (8.7 to 10.9 m³) requires a ventilation system capable of ensuring effective air exchange to prevent overheating and maintain optimal airflow.
A mini extractor, often limited in flow rate, risks causing an accumulation of heat, humidity, and insufficient CO₂ exchange, which can jeopardize plant health.
We instead recommend an inline extractor with an appropriate capacity, typically between 250 and 400 m³/h, to ensure effective ventilation based on lighting power and growing conditions.
This solution will ensure you have a stable environment conducive to healthy and vigorous growth.
To ensure optimal ventilation in your Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240cm and avoid hot spots, it is essential to install a low intake fan that brings in fresh air, coupled with a high exhaust fan that removes hot air. This setup creates negative pressure, ensuring a continuous and controlled airflow.
It is also recommended to use multiple oscillating fans to evenly distribute air around the plants, especially at the canopy level. This homogeneous circulation balances temperature and humidity while optimizing CO₂ distribution.
The integration of carbon filters and pest screens in the air intakes complements this system, ensuring clean air without odor intrusion or pests.
Finally, remember to regularly monitor temperature and humidity with sensors or smart fans to adjust ventilation in real-time and maintain an ideal stable climate for your crops.
The Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210cm offers a usable floor area of approximately 4.1 m² (1.5 x 2.75 m), regardless of the installation of the elevation kit. In fact, this kit only increases the interior height, from 210 cm to approximately 240 cm, without changing the floor area.
Thus, after installing the elevation kit, the usable area remains at 4.1 m², but the available growing volume increases significantly, from approximately 8.6 m³ to nearly 9.8 m³, allowing for taller plants or additional equipment without reducing the floor space.
In summary:
| Measurement | Without elevation kit | With elevation kit |
|---|---|---|
| Usable floor area | 4.1 m² | 4.1 m² |
| Interior height | 210 cm | 240 cm |
| Usable volume | ≈8.6 m³ | ≈9.8 m³ |
The elevation kit of the Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210 cm allows for increasing the height of the tent, which modifies the distance between the light source and the cultivation area at 150 cm. This increase in height results in light dilution, reducing the PPFD density over this specific area, as photons are spread over a wider region.
However, this adjustment offers a significant advantage: it allows for precise positioning of the lighting to optimize light coverage, thereby ensuring a more uniform distribution of PPFD within the tent. In practice, with the elevation kit, you can adapt the tent height to your needs to maximize the quality and uniformity of light received by your plants, while maintaining a comfortable growing space.
The generous size of the Gorilla Grow Tent (150x275 cm) provides a comfortable space to spread your SCROG, even when cultivating in 1 m². It allows for a wide net placement so that the plants benefit from good distribution while fully utilizing the area.
Its adjustable height is an essential asset: it adapts to the different growth phases, offering enough vertical space to train the plants under the net without hindering their development. This also allows positioning the LEDs at an ideal distance, optimizing light and vigor for the cultivation.
In summary, this combination of volume and modularity facilitates an efficient SCROG under LED lighting, with uniform growth and good yield in a reduced space.
To limit noise inside your Gorilla Grow Tent while maintaining good ventilation, prioritize quiet fans and acoustic insulation materials around the tent. Choose discreet clip-on fans to reduce noise related to ventilation.
To effectively control odors without compromising airflow, install an ultra-activated activated carbon filter, which efficiently neutralizes odors while respecting natural air circulation. Also, maintain good circulation with appropriate fans and control humidity and temperature to avoid the formation of unpleasant odors.
This combination ensures an optimal, healthy, and discreet atmosphere inside your grow tent.
The Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240cm is perfectly suited for a scalable beginner kit. Its setup is straightforward, tool-free, and its sturdy frame ensures good durability. You can easily add or enhance your LED lighting thanks to its built-in supports and well-thought-out ventilation ports.
The height of the tent is adjustable via an extension kit, which will save you any complications when transitioning to taller growth or to a more powerful LED upgrade.
In terms of results, this tent creates an optimal environment that quickly fosters a noticeable improvement in plant growth and development, often visible within the first few weeks, depending on the care and growing conditions applied.
To optimize the air circulation in your Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240 cm and avoid hot spots, it's essential to install well-thought-out ventilation:
This system ensures a stable temperature and good ventilation, promoting healthy growth of your plants.
The integrated ventilation system in the Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240cm, with its well-placed ports and effective filters, ensures good air circulation. However, it is not sufficient by itself to limit heat, especially with powerful lighting.
For optimal temperature control and to avoid hot spots, it is recommended to add a suitable inline extractor fan (approximately 250 to 400 m³/h) as well as additional fans for even air circulation around the plants. These complementary equipment make perfect use of the integrated ports and filters of the tent, thus ensuring a healthy and stable climate.
In summary: the tent provides a very good passive base, but additional active ventilation is necessary to effectively control heat.
For your Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240cm, the best ventilation configuration to maintain an VPD optimal under powerful LEDs consists of:
This combination ensures a perfect balance between temperature and humidity in this large volume, guaranteeing a healthy and high-performing environment for your plants under powerful LEDs.
The frame of the Gorilla Grow Tent 150x275x210/240cm is specifically designed to support heavy loads without deforming over the long term. Its patented thick steel structure, reinforced by robust connectors, ensures remarkable stability even at its maximum height of 240 cm.
With secure fixtures, it can support up to 136 kg of equipment, including heavy LED lights, filters, and other devices, with a strength 2 to 5 times greater than conventional tents. This robustness guarantees reliable durability and optimal safety for your intensive growing setup.
The Gorilla Grow Tent – 150 x 275 x 210/240 cm is above all a robust and modular tent, perfectly suited for indoor cultivation. It allows for the easy installation of temperature and humidity sensors, making it compatible with home automation systems for remote monitoring.
However, the tent itself does not include any built-in home automation devices. For full integration, you will need to add connected sensors (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, etc.) that are compatible with your home automation monitoring solution. The Gorilla Grow Tent provides an ideal and solid framework to accommodate these external devices and ensure precise climate control.
To assist you in this process, you may consider using connected accessories from our accessories category that are suitable for home automation, in order to optimize your growing conditions with ease.
For the Gorilla Grow Tent - 150x275x210/240cm, the average electric consumption with LED lighting and an extraction system is generally around 800 watts or more, depending on the density of the LEDs used and the power of the fan.
To maximize growth while minimizing energy costs, it's ideal to choose very efficient LEDs with a light yield of around 3 µmol/J. These LEDs provide more useful photons per watt consumed, optimizing plant development. The tent also features a diamond reflective coating, which enhances light diffusion and limits losses.
Finally, managing ventilation well is essential to maintain an ideal temperature, avoid overheating, and ensure optimal CO₂ supply to your plants, contributing to better growth with controlled energy cost.
