Frequently asked questions
Your questions
Yo, can I know how many times I can use the HESI Starter Box Earth kit? I don't want to run out in the middle of my culture, you see?
The HESI Starter Box Earth kit is usually designed to cover a full culture of 8 to 10 plants in pots of 7 to 11 liters, from sowing to harvest. However, if you use larger pots or more plants, you may run out of some bottles before the end of your cycle. To avoid running out, you might anticipate buying a second kit or individual bottles as a supplement. Good culture!
Does the combination contained in the HESI Soil Starter Box allow for optimal pH adjustment in soil cultivation, or should an external regulator be considered to avoid deficiencies under SCROG with LED?
The HESI Soil Starter Box provides complete nutrition for soil cultivation, but does not contain a specific integrated pH regulator. It is therefore highly recommended to monitor and adjust the pH of your watering solution, especially in SCROG under LED where optimal pH is crucial to avoid any deficiencies. Having an external pH adjuster ensures perfect nutrient assimilation and a worry-free cultivation process.
Does the composition of the HESI Soil Starter Box allow for differentiated management between growth and flowering to optimize yields in soil cultivation?
The HESI Soil Starter Box is perfectly designed for differentiated management between growth and flowering. It incorporates specific formulations, including a TNT Growth Complex for the first phase and a Bloom Complex rich in phosphorus and potassium for the flowering phase, allowing for precise adaptation of nutrient inputs.
Additionally, stimulators such as SuperVit and Hesi Boost, as well as a Root Complex, help reinforce plant health and optimize their yields throughout the cycle, in soil.
This precise and comprehensive approach ensures optimal monitoring of the plants' needs for a high-performing and balanced soil cultivation.
Really complete StarterBox Soil to start? Suitable for all stages of cultivation? How many indoor plants do the quantities provided suffice for?
The StarterBox Soil - HESI is indeed a complete solution to start soil cultivation, perfectly suitable for all growth stages, from root formation to flowering. It includes all essential nutrients: root stimulants, growth fertilizers, flowering nutrients, and specific boosters.
Regarding the quantities, the bottles of 500 ml to 1 liter allow feeding about 5 indoor plants for a complete cycle, considering a reasonable pot size (10 to 20 liters). This kit is therefore ideal for a small hobby garden, providing a perfect balance between simplicity and efficiency for each stage of cultivation.
What are the recommended dosages for each product of the HESI Soil StarterBox in micro culture on 60x60?
For a micro culture on 60x60 cm with the HESI Soil StarterBox, here are the recommended dosages adapted to the surface area and growth phase:
| Product | Dosage (ml/L) | Usage Phase |
|---|---|---|
| HESI TNT (growth) | 3 to 5 | Growth phase |
| Root Complex | 2 to 3 | Start of culture |
| Soil Flowering Complex | 3 to 5 | Flowering |
| Phosphorus Plus (flowering boost) | 1 to 2 | Flowering |
Remember to adjust the pH of the watering water around 6.0 for optimal nutrient absorption. Apply these fertilizers every 3 to 4 days, carefully following the phases: growth with TNT and Root Complex, then flowering with Flowering Complex and Phosphorus Plus.
Is the HESI-STARTER-TERRE StarterBox suitable for a gradual transition to hydroponics, or is it only optimized for soil cultivation?
The HESI StarterBox is specifically designed and optimized for soil cultivation. It offers a gradual nutrition adapted to the soil with organic fertilizers but is not formulated for a transition to hydroponics. This kit does not contain the specific elements necessary for a hydroponic system, such as a pH regulator, which is often essential in hydroponics.
For use in hydroponics or a transition to this type of cultivation, it is better to opt for the HESI Hydro StarterBox, specially designed with dedicated nutrients and stimulators.
What are the recommended dosages for each product in the HESI StarterBox Soil during the growth versus flowering phase?
The StarterBox Soil - HESI provides dosages suitable for each growth phase:
During the growth phase:
- TNT Complex: about 2-3 ml/liter of water to stimulate vegetative growth.
- Root Complex: 2-3 ml/liter to strengthen the root system from the start.
- Super Vit: 1 ml/liter as a vitamin supplement.
- PowerZyme: 1 ml/liter to activate soil microbial life.
During the flowering phase:
- Bloom Complex: 2-3 ml/liter to support floral and fruit production.
- Phosphorus Plus: around 2 ml/liter, rich in phosphorus for flowering.
- HESI BOOST (or equivalent): about 1 ml/liter to stimulate flowering.
These dosages are indicative values to adjust according to the type of cultivation, plant size, and conditions. Following the provided growing plan allows for optimizing nutrition while avoiding excess.
What quantity of each product in the StarterBox Earth is recommended for a complete cycle in soil cultivation in micro space?
The StarterBox Earth - HESI contains products in fixed quantities: 500 ml of TNT Complex, 1 liter of Bloom Complex for soil, 1 liter of Phosphorus Plus, 500 ml of Root Complex, 10 ml of SuperVit, and 500 ml of PowerZyme. For a complete cycle in soil cultivation in micro space, it is recommended to follow the doses indicated on each product and to adjust the quantities proportionally to the size of your cultivation, reducing volumes if necessary.
Each cultivation is unique, but this approach will allow you to use these fertilizers effectively while respecting the specific needs of your micro space, without overloading your plants.
Is integration possible with a home automation system to automate the dosing of nutrients from the StarterBox Terre HESI?
The StarterBox Terre - HESI is not designed for direct integration with a home automation system to automate the dosing of nutrients. This kit is intended for manual application and careful control, particularly of pH, to optimize nutrient delivery in soil cultivation.
To automate dosing, one would need to consider a home automation system or a custom fertigation device, often developed by automation specialists. This is not a native feature of the StarterBox.
What is the optimal dose for each product in a 1m² growing space to maximize yield while minimizing consumption?
To maximize yield in a 1m² growing space with the StarterBox Erde - HESI, here are the optimal doses to follow:
Growth Phase:
- HESI TNT Complex: 3 to 5 ml per liter of water
- HESI Root Complex: 2 to 3 ml per liter of water at the beginning of the cultivation
Flowering Phase:
- HESI Soil Flowering Complex: 3 to 5 ml per liter
- HESI Phosphorus Plus: 1 to 2 ml per liter
HESI Super Vit is used in small amounts to provide vitamins and trace elements, generally according to specific needs.
To optimize absorption, keep the pH of the water around 6.0 and apply these fertilizers every 3 to 4 days. These doses balance nutrition and economy, ensuring a healthy and productive crop in 1 m².
Does the StarterBox Soil HESI have everything needed to start, but are all these products compatible for a first standard indoor grow?
The StarterBox Soil HESI contains all the essential elements to start a standard indoor grow, including a root stimulant (Root 500ml), a growth fertilizer (TNT 500ml), a flowering fertilizer (Flowering 1 liter), as well as boosters (SuperVit, Boost, and Phosphor) that are perfectly complementary.
These products adequately cover the nutritional needs of your plants from growth to flowering, providing complete support. To ensure success, it is important to adhere to the indicated dosages and usage instructions to avoid any risk of overdose.
In summary, this pack is a solid and compatible foundation for a first experience in indoor cultivation under LED lighting.
How to optimize the use of the HESI Soil Starter Box for differentiated management between growth and flowering?
To optimize the use of the HESI Soil Starter Box with differentiated management between growth and flowering, start by adhering to the specific dosages for each phase: favor growth fertilizers during the vegetative development, then switch to flowering fertilizers to stimulate the formation of flowers and fruits.
Carefully follow the provided schedule, adapting it according to the size of your plants, their variety, and ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, light). Adjust the inputs by carefully observing the vigor and coloration of your crops to avoid deficiencies or excesses.
This approach ensures harmonious growth and optimal flowering, while fully benefiting from the quality of the HESI fertilizers included in this kit.
StarterBox Terre HESI, ideal micro culture? Dosage precis pour 1m2? Compatibilite avec terreux bio?
The StarterBox Terre HESI is perfectly suited for a complete soil culture and can be suitable for a micro culture thanks to its balanced nutrients (phosphorus, roots, growth, flowering). However, there is no precisely calibrated dosage for 1 m² in the instructions; it is therefore important to follow the general recommendations of the product and adjust according to the observation of your plants.
Regarding the compatibility with organic soils, this box primarily contains synthetic fertilizers. Its use may not respect the principles of a fully organic culture, as it could disrupt the natural microbial balance of the soil. For strict organic cultivation, it is advisable to prioritize certified organic fertilizers.
What are the recommended frequency and dosage for each product in the HESI Soil Starter Box to optimize growth and flowering in a soil culture?
To optimize growth and flowering in soil with the HESI Soil Starter Box, here are the recommended doses and frequencies:
- Hesi Root: 2-3 ml/liter, to be applied every 3-4 days at the beginning of cultivation to strengthen the roots.
- SuperVit: 1 ml/liter, as a regular vitamin supplement throughout the growth phase.
- Hesi Boost: to be used as needed, generally every 3-4 days during growth.
- Hesi TNT: 3-5 ml/liter, every 3-4 days during the growth phase.
- Hesi Blossom: 3-5 ml/liter, every 3-4 days during flowering.
- Hesi Phosphorus: 1-2 ml/liter, every 3-4 days during flowering to promote flower development.
Essential tip: Maintain a pH around 6.0 to ensure optimal nutrient absorption. Regular application every 3 to 4 days according to the phase will ensure excellent harmonious development.
What is the ideal duration of use for each product in the StarterBox Erde to optimize growth without the risk of over-fertilization?
The ideal duration of use for the products in the StarterBox Erde HESI follows the complete cycle of your crop, generally between 8 and 12 weeks. During the growth phase, apply the growth fertilizers (such as Hesi Root, SuperVit, Boost, and TNT) according to the provided cultivation plan, adhering to the appropriate dosages to stimulate vigor without excess.
When flowering begins, switch to specific fertilizers (Hesi Floraison, Phosphor) always following the recommended dosage. This gradual transition ensures balanced nutrition that avoids over-fertilization.
The included cultivation plan is the key tool: it prevents any overload through precise doses adjusted to the soil and pot volume (7 to 11 liters). In case of doubt, it is better to slightly reduce the dosage rather than risk excess, as the organic-rich soil releases nutrients slowly.
In summary, use each product during the phase that corresponds to it in the cycle, without excessive interruption, and strictly adhere to the box schedule for a perfect balance and healthy plants.
Compatibility of the HESI StarterBox Terre kit with existing connected automatic watering systems?
The StarterBox Terre from HESI is not designed for direct integration with connected automatic watering systems. This fertilizer kit is manually dosed during traditional watering and does not include mechanisms to automate nutrient distribution or pH adjustment.
If you are using an automatic watering system, you will have to manage fertilizer dosing and pH adjustment separately, for example via an external system or manual dosing. The StarterBox Terre thus remains incompatible with fully connected management without custom adaptation.
Starterbox soil: does the composition cover all phases of soil cultivation well?
The StarterBox Soil – HESI is perfectly designed to support all phases of soil cultivation, from growth to flowering. It offers a complete range of suitable fertilizers and additives: root stimulator, growth fertilizer, addition of elements for flowering such as Phosphorus+ and Hesi Boost. Its composition, rich in macro- and microelements as well as vitamins, guarantees healthy and balanced development.
Accompanied by a precise cultivation plan, it facilitates the management of dosages at each phase, ensuring optimal nutritional tracking over 8 to 12 weeks. This manual system is well suited for traditional soil cultivation, providing precise control of inputs to avoid excess or deficiencies.
In summary, the StarterBox effectively covers all key stages of soil cultivation, offering a complete and tailored solution for assured success.
Is integration possible with a voice assistant for managing fertilizer dosing?
The StarterBox Terre - HESI does not have direct integration with a voice assistant to automatically manage fertilizer dosing. This kit is designed for manual application, with careful monitoring of pH and dosing carried out according to the provided cultivation plan.
For automated management, one would need to consider an external system dedicated to dosing or automatic irrigation, as this type of integration is not natively provided with this StarterBox. Thus, the management of fertilizer dosing remains manual and cannot be controlled via a voice assistant.
Complete starter kit really scalable or do I need to add other fertilizers?
The StarterBox Earth - HESI is a complete and scalable kit designed to fully support the growth and flowering of your soil plants for about 8 to 12 weeks. It includes all the necessary fertilizers, from root stimulants to flowering fertilizers, along with a precise cultivation plan for an appropriate dosage at each stage.
In most cases, there is no need to add other fertilizers unless extending the cycle beyond the recommended period or in specific cases. The dosage remains manual, without an integrated automation solution, ensuring optimal and personalized control.
