The Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x170 cm tent features a patented reinforced steel chassis with a diameter of 19 mm, with reinforced corners, designed to withstand bending from the loads and vibrations created by equipment such as a 200 mm extractor. Therefore, you can install your fan extractor system at full power continuously without the risk of sagging or bending of the frame, as the structure is designed to ensure strength and durability even in intense use.
The Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm is designed with an integrated ventilation system in the form of ports suitable for the installation of fans and extractors. However, this system does not include motorized equipment in the basic pack.
To effectively avoid humidity and overheating, it is essential to add a suitable air extractor and fan appropriate for the size of the tent. This equipment will allow for optimal air circulation and precise control of the indoor climate.
In summary, the integrated ports greatly facilitate the establishment of efficient ventilation, but the success of climate control depends on the quality and choice of the ventilation equipment you add.
The elevation kit included with the Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90 allows for increasing the interior height from 150 cm to about 170-173 cm. Subtracting the height of the pot (~30 cm), the SCROG structure (~10 cm), and the minimum lamp/plant distance (~30 cm), there are about 100 cm of usable height for the plants under the SCROG grid.
This configuration is therefore suitable for a complete SCROG under high power LED, especially with indica or hybrid varieties that do not stretch excessively. For very tall plants or those with a strong sativa dominance, the vertical space may be a bit limited, highlighting the importance of good growth control.
To ensure effective ventilation in your Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm and limit odors without frequently opening the tent, it is essential to install a powerful extractor fan (100-120 m³/h) at the top, along with an appropriate carbon filter. Open the passive air inlets located at the bottom to create a slight negative pressure that prevents odors from escaping.
Also, add a fan inside to homogenize air circulation and avoid stagnant humidity. Finally, monitor temperature and humidity using probes to adjust the ventilation flow if necessary. Using the specific ports of the tent without leaving them open unnecessarily also optimizes overall performance.
The Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm offers the same exceptional quality in terms of sturdiness and waterproofing as the standard Gorilla Grow Tent models. It uses ultra-dense 1680D fabric, a sturdy steel frame with an interlocking system capable of supporting up to 136 kg, and industrial zippers ensuring perfect light and air insulation.
The main difference lies in its dimensions: the Shorty is more compact, designed for tight spaces with an adjustable height of 150 to 170 cm, while standard tents often measure 200 cm or more. This adaptation does not diminish its strength or waterproofing, it simply guarantees an optimal solution for small spaces without compromising Gorilla quality.
For your Gorilla Shorty 90x90x150/170 cm grow tent, we recommend installing a powerful extractor (100 to 120 m³/h) at the top of the tent to effectively expel heat and stale air. Pair it with a carbon filter to control odors and improve air quality.
Be sure to keep the passive air intakes open at the bottom, which creates a slight negative pressure, promoting natural air exchange while limiting odor dispersion.
Inside, an oscillating fan will ensure even air circulation, avoiding stagnant areas and stabilizing the microclimate, essential for the health of your plants.
Finally, for precise control, feel free to use temperature and humidity sensors to adjust the ventilation according to the actual needs of your grow.
This setup perfectly balances limiting heat with maintaining a stable and healthy microclimate.
To avoid hot spots in the Gorilla Shorty Indoor - 90x90x150 / 170cm without increasing electrical consumption, it is essential to adopt negative pressure ventilation. This means installing a powerful extractor fan at the top of the tent, combined with an air intake fan at the bottom, which creates a continuous and controlled airflow.
Additionally, oscillating fans inside allow for even distribution of air around the canopy, thus preventing hot spots without excessive energy consumption. Utilizing the original intended openings further optimizes natural air renewal.
Finally, real-time monitoring through temperature and humidity probes helps fine-tune ventilation, limiting unnecessary electrical consumption while maintaining a stable and healthy environment for your plants.
The Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150 / 170 cm is perfectly designed to integrate an external ventilation system thanks to its dedicated ports, specifically made to accommodate air extractors, including silent models. However, its compact dimensions require careful installation to optimize airflow and the placement of filters or extractors, ensuring effective ventilation without noise disturbance.
Regarding smart WiFi control for remote monitoring of temperature and humidity, the model does not have such built-in equipment. However, it is entirely possible to add compatible connected sensors that you will install independently, allowing you to monitor your growing conditions via an app or voice assistant.
The elevation kit of the Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm is essential for effectively managing growth and flowering in a confined space. It allows for an increase in tent height from 150 cm to 170 cm, thus providing valuable flexibility to adapt to the variable size of plants depending on their stage.
This elevation optimizes the distance between the plants and the light source, limiting the risk of burns during the flowering phase while maximizing the available interior volume without changing equipment. The structure remains stable, ensuring a controlled and secured environment.
In summary, this kit makes height management more precise, which is crucial for better light distribution and maintaining optimal conditions throughout the cultivation cycle.
For a Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150 cm in compact micro-culture, we recommend an air extractor of about 200 to 220 m³/h, ideally with a built-in carbon filter to effectively expel stale air while controlling odors.
This system should be complemented by a less powerful intake fan, placed at the bottom to bring in fresh air, and an internal oscillating fan to ensure good air circulation and prevent stagnant moisture.
Be sure to create a negative pressure by choosing a more powerful extractor than the intake, and take advantage of the adjustable height (150 to 170 cm) of the tent to optimize ventilation around your plants. The multiple ventilation openings facilitate the connection of ducts and ensure effective ventilation while maintaining lightproofing.
This device ensures a healthy indoor climate, promoting harmonious growth in a compact space.
The Gorilla Shorty Indoor - 90x90x150 / 170cm does indeed have several ventilation ports allowing for the installation of two independent systems. However, the tent is designed as a single interior compartment without a watertight separation between areas. Thus, air circulates freely between the two spaces, which can disrupt the specific management of each crop in parallel.
To manage two environments with different conditions autonomously, it is preferable to opt for two distinct tents or consider a watertight partition, which requires a specific modification not intended in the standard design of the Gorilla Shorty.
In summary, two ventilation systems can be installed, but without an airtight separation, their independent operation is not guaranteed and air flows will mix.
To optimize ventilation and humidity control in your Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150 / 170cm, it is essential to install an extraction system with a carbon filter at the top of the tent, whose power must be greater than that of the air intake located at the bottom. This setup creates negative pressure, ensuring effective removal of hot and humid air while limiting odors.
Inside, place oscillating fans to homogenize air circulation and avoid stagnant areas that would promote humidity or temperature problems. Also, regularly monitor humidity and temperature with probes placed in different areas; this will allow you to adjust the ventilation system in real time and limit spikes in humidity, particularly at night.
Finally, prioritize observation through the tent's EZ View window to avoid unnecessarily opening the box and disrupting this stable environment, especially during the flowering phase. With these best practices, your plants will benefit from an optimal atmosphere, ensuring harmonious growth and stress-free flowering.
Moreover, the very dense 1680D fabric, up to 9 times thicker than average, offers remarkable durability against wear. Reinforced industrial zippers complement this robustness for a long functional lifespan. These features make this grow tent a reliable choice for intensive use, combining innovation and material quality.
The tent Gorilla Shorty Indoor - 90x90x150 / 170 cm is delivered alone, without filter kit or extractor included. To ensure effective ventilation and optimal control of humidity and temperature, it is necessary to separately purchase an appropriate extractor, a carbon filter, and an incoming air fan.
The robust structure of the tent can easily support a powerful extractor up to 200 mm in diameter, allowing you to install an efficient and durable ventilation system.
We offer complete kits including extractor, carbon filter, and fan, suitable for the size of this tent. This way, you can easily equip yourself with a perfectly sized pack for your growing space.
Specifically, at 150 cm, the light is more intense at plant level, but the reduced space can lead to thermal stress. At 173 cm, light intensity decreases slightly, but thermal dissipation improves, promoting healthier growth and a more efficient use of light power, thus optimizing the yield in g/watt in this small volume.
The ventilation kit is not included with the Gorilla Shorty Indoor - 90x90x150 / 170cm. It is necessary to purchase a suitable extractor fan separately (between 100 and 120 m³/h recommended) as well as a carbon filter to manage odors and air circulation. However, the tent does have integrated extraction ports making the installation of this equipment easier. For even ventilation, also consider an internal fan to avoid stagnant humidity.
To manage ventilation in your Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm and avoid condensation, it is essential to create negative pressure: install a powerful extractor fan at the top and an intake fan at the bottom, the extractor should be slightly more powerful to ensure a constant flow.
Keep the passive air intakes open at the bottom for natural renewal, while installing an oscillating fan inside to homogenize air circulation and prevent stagnant areas where humidity could accumulate.
Finally, regularly monitor temperature and humidity with sensors, to adjust the ventilation precisely and avoid any condensation on the walls.
This management allows for a stable and healthy microclimate, ideal for the success of your indoor cultivation in the Gorilla Shorty with elevation kit at 170 cm.
For the Gorilla Shorty Indoor 90x90x150/170 cm, the optimal capacity is about 4 plants simultaneously. This number allows for effective ventilation thanks to the well-designed extraction ports, while ensuring an even distribution of light thanks to the ultra-reflective mylar interior coating.
With its dimensions and adjustable height, this space is ideal for growing using SCROG or LST techniques, thus avoiding light burn and promoting balanced growth. Growing more than 4 plants could lead to overcrowding, compromising air quality and lighting, hence the health and yield of the plants.
In summary, 4 plants in this Gorilla Shorty guarantee healthy and optimized growth.
