Vegetative training gives the plant the shape that will carry the harvest. Every published method assumes a uniform batch of clones; yours comes from seed and is not uniform. This step covers the principles, their limits, and how to manage a population rather than an average plant.
What training is trying to achieve
A plant left to itself concentrates its vigour on its main stem and produces one dominant inflorescence, the others staying behind. That is not what you want under artificial lighting: the light arrives from above, on a plane, and everything growing far from that plane receives little.
Everything in training follows from that: spread the vigour across several heads rather than one, keep those heads at a comparable height, and stop part of the canopy working in the shade, consuming more than it produces.
