Your questions about this product

  • For an optimized culture with the Galaxy 640W system, what is the recommended VPD parameter to maintain when using the UV and FarRed spectrum during the flowering phase to maximize production while avoiding plant stress?
For optimized cultivation with the Galaxy 640W system using the UV and FarRed spectrum during flowering, it is recommended to maintain a VPD (vapor pressure deficit) between 0.8 and 1.2 kPa. This range helps maximize photosynthesis and transpiration without causing water stress, especially under such comprehensive and powerful lighting. It is important to regularly monitor temperature and humidity to adjust this parameter according to the precise needs of your plants.
  • Can the Galaxy 640W UVFR system be used in growth mode only by disabling infrared and ultraviolet to optimize vegetative development before flowering?
The Galaxy 640W UVFR System offers a full spectrum including UV and infrared, ideal for supporting all growth phases. In theory, it is possible to optimize vegetative growth by favoring blue wavelengths and disabling UV and infrared. However, this system does not have a simple setting to separately disable these spectrums. If this feature is important to you, you will need to check if a manual option or a specific mode exists to modulate the spectrum. Otherwise, the full spectrum will be active during vegetative growth, which remains very effective. For fine spectrum management in growth, our Quantum Boards or adjustable spectrum LED bars could also be an interesting solution.
  • Galaxy 640W full spectrum optimises growth in a 60x60 cm micro space?

The Galaxy System 640W, with its 640 watts of power and dimensions of over one square meter, is clearly oversized for such a small area as 60x60 cm (0.36 m²). This system excels in larger spaces, offering a full spectrum including UV and Far Red and a very high luminous output, but it also generates a lot of heat and requires significant ventilation, which is difficult to manage in a micro space.

For successful cultivation in 60x60 cm, we recommend a LED solution between 100 and 200 W instead, which will provide suitable intensity, an effective spectrum, and a much more compact footprint. This will allow you to maximize the growth of your plants without overheating or wasting energy.
